The XRP spot ETF has recorded net inflows for 13 consecutive weeks, with a total amount of approximately 113 million US dollars.
The positive net inflow trend of US-based XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has continued for the 13th consecutive week. Between October 5th and October 9th, these funds attracted approximately 113 million US dollars in investments. Although the price of XRP decreased by more than 7% during this period, demand for regulated investment products related to XRP remained strong.
The inflow of funds into ETFs contradicts the trend of XRP prices.
As demand for regulated XRP investment products increases, the market price of this cryptocurrency has experienced significant fluctuations. In just one week, the price of XRP dropped from around $1.52 to $1.40, with the lowest point reaching $1.32. Meanwhile, the cumulative net inflow of XRP ETFs has reached nearly 1.8 billion US dollars, highlighting the growing gap between investors’ investments through regulated channels and the immediate price movements of cryptocurrencies.
Even though XRP performs unevenly in spot trading and faces challenging market conditions, there is still recognition of the attractiveness of ETFs as an investment option.
Bitwise led the net inflows of ETFs this week.
This week’s inflows into ETFs were largely concentrated in a few products. The asset management company Bitwise, which specializes in cryptocurrency funds, accounted for most of the inflows, with an additional investment of approximately 10.55 million US dollars. The XRPZ fund managed by Franklin Templeton, a leading global investment management firm, also reported a net inflow of approximately 4.1 million US dollars. In contrast, Canary Capital’s XRPC ETF experienced a net outflow of approximately 3.34 million US dollars, indicating uneven interest among different issuers.
The overall net inflows depend largely on the performance of Bitwise. Without Bitwise’s contributions, the total net inflows from other ETF products would be less than $1 million.
The holdings of XRP ETFs have increased, while competitors have experienced withdrawals.
According to independent statistics based on reported changes in holdings by issuers, approximately 7.9 million XRPs were added to ETF portfolios this week. This represents a new investment of about $11.1 million. In August, although XRP’s price was difficult to stabilize, XRP ETFs still recorded a significant inflow of $110.49 million.
Even during periods of significant price fluctuations in cryptocurrencies, where traders witnessed a weekly decline of over 7%, XRP funds continued to attract strong inflows. However, there were also large-scale withdrawals among other US cryptocurrency investment products. Bitcoin spot ETFs experienced withdrawals worth approximately $681 million, funds focused on Ethereum lost about $542 million, and Solana investment products recorded a net outflow of approximately $24.8 million.
