APT surged 10%: Increased online activity, RWA capital inflows and token destruction jointly boosted the market.
Aptos (APT) has increased by more than 10% in the past 24 hours, attracting widespread attention from traders, and daily trading volume has climbed to more than US$109 million. The rise was driven by multiple factors including strong online activity, real-world asset (RWA) inflows and reduced token supply. However, with 11.31 million APT tokens about to be unlocked into the market, bulls are facing a major test. The upcoming unlock could increase selling pressure as buyers target higher resistance levels.
Supply tightening supports the latest rebound
Aptos 'upward momentum comes not just from technical breakthroughs. The network has experienced more active trading activity, accompanied by an increase in net real-world asset (RWA) traffic. In the past seven days, Aptos 'net RWA traffic reached US$145 million, ranking second behind Ethereum's US$149 million.
Transaction data also shows that the Aptos network is receiving renewed attention. On September 3, the number of active addresses reached 57,047, and the number of transactions exceeded 16 million during the same period. These data indicate that more users are beginning to interact with the blockchain again. Increased activity also helps Aptos generate additional network revenue. Despite a tenfold increase in fees, average transaction fees remain low at about $0.0005. Aptos uses the fees charged to buy back APT tokens and then destroy them, thereby reducing the circulation supply on the market.
Recent destruction data shows the impact of this mechanism on the supply of tokens. In the past month, approximately 1.523 million APT tokens were permanently destroyed. Since the launch of the autonomous network, the total destruction volume has reached approximately 1.7 million pieces. Aptos reports an annualized destruction rate of approximately 1.8 million tokens. The reduction in supply provides another bullish reason for bulls. With demand remaining strong, fewer tokens in circulation help support price increases.
11.31 million APT unlocks or challenges bulls
The biggest concern at the moment comes from Aptos upcoming token unlocks. Tokenemist estimates that 11.31 million APT tokens will enter circulation in the coming week, valued at about $6.88 million. This amount accounts for approximately 0.65% of the released supply. This release may put additional selling pressure on APT.
Some holders may choose to lock in profits after the recent 10% increase. Increased supply may also make it more difficult for prices to maintain sustained gains as they approach major resistance levels. As a result, the bulls will face a difficult situation in the next few days. The scale of unlocking is worthy of attention, especially considering recent destruction data: Aptos destroyed approximately 1.523 million tokens in the past month.
The upcoming release far exceeds the latest monthly destruction, a difference that could temporarily weaken the "supply crunch" market narrative. Still, unlocking does not automatically mean a drop in prices. Strong demand may absorb additional tokens into circulation, and continued growth of the network may also attract new buyers.
