Shytoshi Kusama updated X profile, sparking community speculation.
In early September, Shiba Inu (SHIB) chief ambassador Shytoshi Kusama adjusted his X platform profile. He changed his profile to a single word "Polish" and revised his location information to "close". Kusama did not provide any public explanation for the change, and has remained silent on the X platform since May 13, without any posting or interaction. This move triggered widespread speculation in the SHIB community about its meaning, but as of now, no official statement or announcement has been issued.
Ambiguity in social media dynamics
The word "Polish" often implies polishing and improving the project. Some Shiba Inu community members believe this may indicate Kusama is focusing on completing ongoing development work. However, without further clarification, it is unclear whether the compilation of the materials is related to the Shiba Inu project itself or Kusama's personal independent plan. As early as February 2026, Kusama disclosed that it had participated in an AI-based relational platform project designed to help users identify trends and compatibility risks.
Despite speculation, there is currently no indication that recent data changes are related to specific projects or development milestones in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The SHIB community, known for looking for clues from Kusama's posts, continues to pay close attention to its developments, but is unable to take substantive action until specific information is available.
"As the literal meaning suggests,'Polish' means bringing something close to perfection through improvement and refinement; therefore, Kusama's 'Polish' update on the X platform may refer to final development work, but linking it to Shiba Inu or upcoming announcements remains speculative at this stage."
Shibarium infrastructure welcomes critical updates
While high-profile communication is kept to a minimum, behind-the-scenes development continues. Mazrael, a senior Shiba Inu community member, confirmed that Shibarium's RPC (Remote Procedure Call) update has been implemented and the related pull request PR #8699 has been officially merged into the ethereum-lists/chains repository. Shibarium, Shiba Inu's Layer-2 blockchain network, aims to increase scalability and reduce transaction costs.
Chainlist, which reflects this update, is a widely used chain registry platform that facilitates wallet integration and Web3 connectivity for various blockchains.
A popular blockchain network registry that allows users to easily connect wallets to different chains and decentralized applications (DApps).
