Musk's X platform sues in the UK for allegedly manipulating interactive Bitcoin account network

Elon Musk's social platform X has formally filed a lawsuit in England and Wales, accusing a group of individuals suspected of operating a bitcoin-themed account network of illegally obtaining revenue from their predecessor creator revenue sharing plan by manipulating interactive data. The lawsuit aims to recover at least £ 207,384 (approximately US$278,000) of creator income, which Party X said was obtained through fraud.

In a complaint filed in the High Court on Thursday, X named Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa and the unnamed account operator as defendants. Relevant complaint documents have been published at X's Transparency Center.

The core point of the case

X claimed that the defendant coordinated multiple accounts focused on Bitcoin and artificially exaggerated the interaction data to defraud the creator of rewards. The lawsuit targeted at at least six X accounts that had participated in the former creator's revenue-sharing plan and linked them to two named individuals. X accused these accounts of creating the illusion of "false reality" interaction by retweets, likes and posting highly similar posts.

In addition, the company cited expected investigation and remediation costs and expected losses of at least £ 282,384 without interest and legal fees. X said that it had suspended the account involved on August 18 and officially cancelled the revenue sharing plan on September 7.

Association between six major creator accounts and two defendants
