HBAR The market value of Hedera's native stablecoin has soared 71% in a week, joining the wave of industry expansion.
According to data quoted by BSCNews, the market value of Hedera's native stablecoin has risen sharply by about 71% in the past week, reaching approximately US$48 million. This significant increase is particularly striking for a network still building its decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, but also comes against the backdrop of the general expansion of stablecoins across the industry.
rankings continue to climb and are expected to surpass peers
Despite the strong weekly increase, Hedera currently only ranks 39th among global blockchain networks ranked by stablecoin market value. However, this ranking may not be maintained in the long term. The network is currently close to multiple mature Layer-1 blockchains, including Algorand, XDC Network and Cardano, which have a longer history in the stablecoin space. If the current growth rate is maintained, Hedera is expected to surpass the above competitors in the short term.
This growth is in line with the overall trend of the network. As early as the beginning of 2026, Hedera's supply of stablecoins has shown an upward trend. Previous reports pointed out that USDC accounts for the vast majority of the supply of stablecoins in the chain. According to DeFiLlama, in a seven-day period earlier this year, the supply of stablecoins surged by nearly 17%, driven by the USDC (accounting for about 99.8% of total supply).
Strategic significance of growth in stablecoin supply
