ZEC Zcash在测试网激活NU7网络升级，主网上线倒计时
Zcash已在测试网（Testnet）正式激活其NU7网络升级协议，将这一关键变更提前约一个月投入真实环境进行实战测试。此次激活标志着包括区块生成时间缩短在内的一系列共识层变更首次进入实际运行阶段。
区块间隔缩短至25秒
根据Zcash测试网区块浏览器ZecBlock的数据，NU7规定的激活点——第4,465,026号区块于10月4日UTC时间晚上6:21被挖掘成功。NU7升级通过ZIP 218提案，将Zcash的目标区块间隔从75秒大幅缩减至25秒。这一改变使首次确认的平均等待时间减少了约三分之二。Zcash基金会表示，这将有效解决销售终端支付、交易所充值以及跨链桥接等场景中的实际障碍。
尽管出块频率增加，但每日发行的ZEC总量保持不变。这是因为剩余的减半周期被延长为原来的三倍，且每个预设区块奖励相应减少至原来的三分之一，从而维持总发行量平衡。
旧版交易禁用与费用回收机制
该升级同时禁用了版本4（Version 4）交易。一旦NU7完全激活，存放在Zcash传统Sprout屏蔽池中的ZEC将无法花费。因此，持有者需在此日期前将这些资金转移至其他地址。
In addition, the new version introduces a fee recovery system called the "Network Sustainability Mechanism." 60% of each block transaction fee will be removed from circulation and a reserve will be established, with miners retaining only the remaining 40% as an incentive to process transactions. At the same time, a small fixed portion of the reserve is set aside and issued to miners with each new block generated to offset the standard block reward. This structural design is designed to help cover network security costs as block rewards continue to be reduced by halving in the future.
Performance Optimization and Final Decision Schedule
The Zcash Foundation released Zebra 7.0.0-rc.0 on October 2, the first release candidate for NU7. The foundation pointed out in the announcement that test network operators should complete the upgrade before activating the level to ensure they remain on the NU7 chain and assist in testing the version under "real conditions."
NU7 also added per-block limits for blocked transactions, including 330 Orchard actions and 300 Sapling inputs and outputs. These restrictions not only more than double Orchard's throughput capacity, but also reduce the worst-case wallet synchronization burden that spammers can cause by approximately 37%.
Zcash developers plan to review the performance of the testnet on October 20 and make a final decision on mainnet activation, including determining the specific activation height. If approved, NU7 will be available on the Zcash main website on November 5. This is not the first time Zcash has made such changes: Since its launch in 2016, the network has gone through six previous upgrades, each time following a similar hard fork path from proposal to testnet to mainnet activation.
