Cardano (ADA) broke through the resistance of US$0.26, new cooperation boosted ecological development
On October 5, the price of Cardano (ADA) traded around US$0.273, reaching an intraday high of US$0.2734, and the 24-hour trading volume was close to US$1 billion. This performance enabled Cardano to successfully stabilize itself above the $0.26 mark, which had previously limited the recent recovery of cryptocurrencies.
New partnership drives Cardano ecosystem
This increase is due to a series of positive developments in the Cardano ecosystem. The Cardano Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports global adoption and development of Cardano, recently announced two new collaborative projects with Brazil's leading energy company Petrobras. The two initiatives will leverage Cardano's blockchain network to verify sustainability data on aviation fuel and renewable diesel, building on the existing partnership between the two parties.
In addition to the expansion at the institutional level, Cardano has also gained new technological integration. Fireblocks, a digital asset hosting platform widely used by institutional investors, has added support for Cardano native tokens. Previously, the network has integrated the x402 protocol to enable automated payment solutions managed by artificial intelligence agents.
These updates have improved investor and developer sentiment and inspired optimism about Cardano's future prospects.
Mini Dictionary: Fireblocks is a secure digital asset custody and transfer platform that allows organizations to securely manage and transfer cryptocurrencies and tokens across multiple networks.
Technical Signals and Futures Markets
Its short-term technical outlook improved as the ADA broke the $0.263 threshold. Market analysts pointed out that this level is a key turning point for further gains.
FXStreet's Vishal Dixit observed that open interest in Cardano futures has increased by approximately 15% in the past 24 hours. At the same time, positive funding rates suggest that traders are generally betting that ADA will continue to move upwards.
Dixit said that if the breakthrough is maintained, the ADA's next key resistance level may point to $0.30; if buyers retain control above $0.275, the rally may continue further.
Other technical indicators show that the key persistence point is around US$0.2679, while resistance is around US$0.275. A daily chart close above these zones could open the door to a move towards the US$0.28 - 0.30 range; however, if the correction falls below US$0.258, the current rally will be in question.
Market tracker Coinpaper also emphasized that if ADA can successfully maintain above the US$0.25 - 0.27 range, US$0.30 will be the next important liquidity target area.
On-chain data and online sentiment
Trading volumes on the Cardano Decentralized Exchange (DEX) remain sluggish despite increased ADA prices and derivatives activity. On October 3, Cardano DEX trading volume fell to approximately US$5.72 million, indicating that the price increase has not been accompanied by a significant increase in chain activity.
This divergence between price increases and weak DEX trading volume highlights the importance of futures positioning: the increase in open interest amplifies potential upside, but also increases the risk of rapid reversals if momentum weakens.
Since June, Cardano's online sentiment has gradually improved after early governance setbacks, boosting developer engagement and broader ecosystem confidence, although trading signals remain mixed.
