The spot Bitcoin ETF received US$1.92 billion in inflows in one week, while the Ethereum ETF also recorded a net inflow of approximately US$700 million. Both types of products achieved full net inflows during the full trading week of five trading days.
As institutional demand for spot bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs strengthens again, funds tracking these two assets have also recorded one of the strongest inflows in recent months.
The cumulative net inflow of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF this week was US$1.92 billion. The total inflow of Ethereum ETF reached approximately US$700 million. These two types of ETF products did not show a net outflow in any trading day from Monday to Friday.
Bitcoin ETF inflows of US$1.92 billion
Bitcoin ETF started the week strongly. On Monday, the fund's net inflow was approximately $300 million, compared with $189.3 million on Tuesday.
However, the real market change occurred on Wednesday. Market interest in risky assets has increased significantly after the U.S. Treasury Department announced that it would increase the ceiling on liquidity-backed repurchase of long-term Treasury bonds from US$2 billion to at least US$4 billion.
On Wednesday, net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs climbed to US$517 million. Inflows exceeded $606 million on Thursday, setting the strongest one-day performance since May 1.
On Friday, ETFs received another $307.45 million in inflows. So far, the Bitcoin ETF ended this week with a total net inflow of US$1.92 billion.
This figure is the strongest weekly net inflow to Bitcoin ETF since the week ending October 10. At that time, the relevant funds received $2.71 billion in inflows.
At the end of the previous week, total net inflows were below $51.8 billion, but as of August 21, they had risen to more than $53.7 billion.

Bitcoin price rises in sync with ETF demand
ETF strong capital inflows occurred during the same period as the sharp rise in Bitcoin prices.
Bitcoin was trading below $65,000 before the U.S. Treasury Department's statement on Wednesday, and rose by about $15,000 in subsequent days. BTC approached $80,000 on Friday, its highest level in more than three months.
Despite a correction over the weekend, Bitcoin fell to US$75,500, but it is currently trading at approximately US$76,556.
As a result, ETF data has become one of the important indicators that recent gains are not driven solely by short-term market transactions. However, it should also be pointed out that ETF inflows per se do not guarantee the continuation of price movements.
Demand for Ethereum ETFs is also strong
A similar situation has also occurred with spot Ethereum ETFs.
The Ethereum ETF's net inflow this week was approximately US$700 million. This is the strongest weekly performance recorded by the Ethereum ETF since October 2025.
Inflows were US$30.85 million on Monday and US$71.47 million on Tuesday. On Wednesday, that number climbed to $189.15 million.
On Thursday, the Ethereum ETF had a net inflow of US$220.77 million and on Friday a net inflow of US$185 million.
At this point, total net inflows to the Ethereum ETF rose to US$12.15 billion as of August 21, from US$11.45 billion at the end of the previous week.

Ethereum prices also showed strong gains over the same period. ETH started rising from a level of about $1900 on Wednesday and exceeded $2500 on Saturday morning. It then suffered a sell-off, falling about $100, but Ethereum's weekly gain was still more than 28%.
Are institutional needs returning?
Both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs reported strong and sustained inflows in the same week, indicating that demand from institutional investors is accelerating again.
In particular, the weekly inflow of Bitcoin ETF was US$1.92 billion, coupled with one of the strongest one-day inflows since May, which is eye-catching. The inflow of about US$700 million in the Ethereum ETF suggests that the rise is not limited to Bitcoin.
However, the sustainability of these inflows in the coming weeks will be even more critical. If strong demand for ETFs is maintained, capital flows behind recent gains will also be supported. On the contrary, if capital inflows slow down, especially as Bitcoin is difficult to break through the US$80,000 region, it may pose a new test to the market's upward momentum.
Therefore, in the coming days, it is important not only to focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, but also to track whether funds inflows from ETFs continue.
