Wealth management circles are increasingly interested in XRP

XRP has attracted widespread attention in the field of wealth management

At a recent seminar attended by about 400 wealth managers, XRP became the most watched cryptocurrency. Bitwise research analyst Ryan Rasmussen revealed that although the meeting covered topics such as Bitcoin, Solana, Hyperliquid, stablecoins and tokenization, XRP dominated the discussions.

Why does XRP attract so much attention?

In a joint speech with Bitwise Investment Director Matt Hougan, Rasmussen pointed out that attendees were asking for detailed information about XRP. This high interest suggests that institutions 'attention to the token is not limited to the investment product level, but extends to professional portfolio managers who are increasingly focusing on the cryptocurrency field.

XRP became the cryptocurrency with the most questions throughout the speech, and it received significantly more attention than other currencies. Bitwise, known for its crypto asset management, provides institutional investors with cryptocurrency investment channels mainly through exchange-traded funds and index products, which further highlights the importance of XRP in asset management strategies.

Is XRP ETF still attracting capital?

This is not entirely the case. Spot XRP exchange-traded funds traded in the United States have previously achieved net inflows of funds for 11 consecutive trading days. About $170 million flowed into these funds during this period, SoSoValue data showed. Since its launch in November, total net inflows have reached US$1.68 billion.

However, this momentum was interrupted on September 2, when the U.S. spot XRP ETF suffered a net outflow of US$7.2 million. On the same day, the spot Bitcoin ETF and the spot Ethereum ETF also experienced capital outflows of US$14.3 million and US$47.6 million respectively.

Which large institutions are involved?

Recent official disclosures further confirm the agency's interest. According to Bloomberg intelligence data, as of the end of the second quarter, Goldman Sachs reported the largest XRP institutional position, totaling US$87.4 million. Jane Street and Millennium Management followed closely with positions of $16.6 million and $16.2 million respectively.

Recently released position data and capital flows indicate that the XRP field has received continued attention from professional institutions. Goldman Sachs is one of the world's largest investment banks, while Jane Street and Millennium Management are known for their large-scale transactions in institutional markets. These entities provide liquidity to and actively participate in the crypto space.

Despite these trends, a significant number of wealth managers are still cautious. According to Rasmussen, 67% of the audience have not yet configured cryptocurrency assets. However, market expectations remain optimistic, with 60% of respondents expecting cryptocurrency prices to rise before the end of the year, and a similar proportion plan to allocate assets to this area within 12 months.

XRP received the most questions, indicating a unique interest among wealth managers. Large-scale investments by companies such as Goldman Sachs demonstrate institutional involvement. Despite the pause in net ETF inflows, market expectations for the future of XRP remain high. Many wealth managers have not yet set foot in the cryptocurrency space, but their willingness to plan to participate is growing.

XRP's increasingly prominent position in wealth management reflects a broad trend of increased interest in cryptocurrencies among professional institutions, although caution remains dominant. This coexistence of interest and doubts is a typical feature of the evolution of digital asset investment strategies.
