Technical Analysis: Key Support Levels and Future Trend Outlook for XRP
Ripple's XRP is at a critical level of support, and recent technical analysis has emphasized the importance of the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA) to its short-term momentum. French chart analyst Egrag, who has expertise in cryptocurrency market trends, pointed out that this technical indicator is a key factor in determining the next move of the old altcoin.
Key Support: 100-EMA Reaction Area
On the three-day chart, XRP found support near the light blue 100-EMA line many times. Egrag observed that in the early price cycle, XRP rebounded from this level, eventually rising to a record high of $3.65, before encountering resistance and entering a consolidation phase. He emphasized that just touching the 100-EMA is not enough to bring about sustained recovery.
Analysts suggest that the XRP needs to close above the 100-EMA in three consecutive time frames to signal the recovery of bullish momentum. According to Egrag's analysis, before this breakthrough occurs, another round of short-term declines may occur.
XRP must see multiple solid closing prices above the 100-EMA before there may be significant upside, and at the same time be wary of the risk of further declines in the near future.
Market dynamics and CLARITY Act expectations
Egrag said that if the price of XRP falls below $1, those who previously missed the $0.95 to $1.00 range may get another entry opportunity at these levels. For traders waiting for further confirmation, recovering the resistance level of $2.27 would be an important milestone signaling a resumption of potential upside.
Historical analysis has identified US$3.84 as an important macro breakthrough target for XRP. If prices regain their previous highs and maintain upward momentum, this target may be achieved.
At the same time, online indicators showed that the market contracted after surging in August. Blockchain intelligence provider Crypto Quant reported that XRP's 30-day transaction volume Z-Score soared to 4 in August, before falling back to near zero. This suggests that current trading volumes are very close to historical averages, showing market activity that is neither overly bullish nor overly bearish.
Based on historical trends observed in August, trading activity may accelerate if XRP can break through the 100-EMA and remain above US$1.40. Much of the current market trend is likely to depend on the upcoming CLARITY Act update, which is scheduled to be updated on September 15, 2026.
Explanation of Terms: CLARITY Act
The CLARITY Act is a pending legislative or regulatory update that may affect how the U.S. financial sector classifies and manages digital assets such as XRP.
Currently, the market is in a consolidation phase, and most participants remain cautious and pay close attention to the technology outlook and upcoming regulatory developments, such as developments related to the CLARITY Act.
