Japanese bitcoin company Metaplanet adjusts its stock rights pool and plans to enter Hong Kong
Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich announced on Friday that the Japanese bitcoin holding company will significantly reduce its quota pool of Series 10 stock options due to continued pressure from shareholders about equity dilution issues. At the same time, the company also revealed plans to establish a new asset management subsidiary in Hong Kong.
Based on this adjustment, Metaplanet will reduce the number of potential tenth series rights-corresponding underlying shares by 131.3 million shares, reducing the total potential number of shares from 319.464 million shares to 188.19 million shares. This change also restored the conversion ratio from 1:696 to 1:410, the level before the company's international share offering in September 2025.
