New Week Outlook for the Crypto Market: Game between Capital Flow and Macroeconomic Factors

The cryptocurrency market has started the new week with limited fluctuations, with investors focusing on the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. At the beginning of this week, the total market value of global cryptocurrencies rose slightly by 0.1% to US$2.65 trillion. As of 08:45 Turkish time, Bitcoin rose 0.30% to US$77,502. In contrast, Ethereum and some mainstream altcoins faced selling pressure: Ethereum fell 0.47% to $2,510;Solana fell 0.82% to $101; and XRP bucked the trend and rose 0.63% to $1.37.

In the past 24 hours, PONS performed the worst, with a drop of 12.01%;Filecoin performed strongly, with a rise of 18.03%, ranking first among all types of altcoins.

Analysis of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Money Flow

ETF data reflecting institutional investors 'interest in crypto assets reveals significant divergence between Bitcoin and Ethereum. Last week, the spot Bitcoin ETF saw a net outflow of $462.73 million, while the spot Ethereum ETF attracted a net inflow of $197.11 million. This comparison shows that the two major digital assets meet different investor needs through institutional products. In particular, the outflow of funds from Bitcoin has become one of the important indicators for observing fluctuations in its price around US$77,000.

In addition, the altcoin ETF did not show a unilateral trend. XRP, Solana, LINK, HBAR and DOT ETFs recorded net inflows of US$18.98 million, US$10.3 million, US$5.36 million, US$1.25 million and US$663.06 million respectively. In contrast, HYPE ETF experienced a net outflow of $26.42 million. As for the ETFs of BNB, TRX, DOGE, LTC and AVAX, no significant flows of funds were recorded.

How will the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision affect the crypto market?

The most watched major event this week was the monetary policy meeting of the U.S. Central Bank (Federal Reserve). The recent acceleration of inflation in the United States has made the impact of interest rate expectations on the direction of the crypto market increasingly critical.

In a high interest rate environment, assets lacking fixed income may become less attractive, while curbing the market's appetite for risky assets, putting downward pressure on bitcoin and altcoin. However, if the market expects an increase in interest rate cuts, financial conditions may ease accordingly, creating a more favorable environment for crypto investment.

Therefore, investors need to pay close attention not only to the Fed's interest rate decision, but also to the statement issued after the meeting. In particular, signals about inflation trends and the direction of future monetary policy will directly influence the market price response.

Why is the situation in the Middle East so important?

In addition to monetary policy, dynamics in the Middle East are another major risk factor in the crypto market. Rising tensions in the region and concerns about energy supplies could affect global inflation expectations through oil prices. Higher energy costs will exacerbate inflationary pressures, which in turn will make it more difficult for central banks to formulate interest rate policies, leading investors to adopt a more cautious attitude towards risky assets.

Bitcoin and altcoins are not only influenced by internal factors in the industry, but also deeply restricted by global macroeconomic conditions. Rising geopolitical risks and changes in monetary policy prospects may lead to high market volatility in the short term.

Looking to the future, investors need to comprehensively evaluate ETF fund flows, Fed policy signals, and geopolitical developments in order to make more informed market judgments.
