HYPE Hyperliquid launches manual lending function, and the native token HYPE has set a new record high.
HYPE is a native token of Hyperliquid, a Layer-1 blockchain and decentralized trading platform. On Friday, with the launch of the platform's online "manual lending" feature, HYPE prices broke through the $90 mark, setting a record high.
Manual lending function is officially unlocked
Hyperliquid announced that users can now use HYPE and Bitcoin as collateral to borrow stablecoins USDC and Tether's USDt (USDT). This update allows users to directly access borrowed funds, expanding options beyond the platform's existing portfolio margin system.
Theteam said in a recent update: "Manual lending is now available on Hyperliquid." The parties clarified that the new lending functions and their existing portfolio margin system are built on HyperCore, which is the infrastructure that supports these functions. Hyperliquid co-founder Jeff Yan pointed out that the protocol is designed to ensure that every loan asset comes directly from the supplier rather than being created manually through a platform-level margin process.
Users can now borrow USDC or USDT directly with HYPE or Bitcoin as collateral, giving participants in the Hyperliquid ecosystem more flexibility in borrowing operations.
