Two things happened at the same time. First, the Internet opened confidential perpetual contract transactions. Secondly, an incentive program pegged to a target price of $3.33 was launched, and if the price remained above that level within 72 hours, holders would receive token rewards that could be converted to NEAR. New products allow traders to open leveraged perpetual contracts without exposing the connection between their wallet, their funding source and their open positions. Hyperliquid provides order books, execution engines and liquidity, covering more than 50 markets and supporting up to 40x leverage.
Deposits and funds are routed through a private shard bridged by a trusted execution environment connected to the main network. This not only keeps the public order book unaffected, but also blocks information on who owns which positions. Traders log in using a passkey, skip mnemonic words, and recharge from more than 35 blockchains through NEAR Intention, which automatically converts deposits to USDC.

The momentum will not stop with this release. NEAR Protocol is deploying the main network upgrade version 2.13.0, which has brought two significant changes.
Post-quantum signature support is designed to protect against future quantum computing threats and ensure transaction security. Dynamic reorganization adjusts the way the network allocates workload among shards in real time.
Integration with wallets and browsers, including support for the Brave tag, is also part of a broader push to position NEAR Protocol as a practical, day-to-day cryptographic use rather than limited to short-term transactions.
Of course, this does not eliminate the usual risks. Leveraged trading can lead to rapid zeroing of capital, and privacy features do not eliminate liquidation risks or smart contract risks.
