Bitget introduced external investigation agencies and clarified wallet status
In its latest update on the X platform, Bitget confirmed that independent experts Mandiant and SlowMist are assisting in the investigation of the incident. The exchange said the withdrawal service remains suspended during additional security checks and will be restored immediately once it is deemed safe.
Bitget also distinguishes between its exchange and Bitget Wallet. The latter operates as a self-managed service and runs on a separate architecture. According to the company, the breach did not affect assets controlled by Bitget Wallet or its users on the chain. Bitget said its exchange platform is still operating, although withdrawal restrictions remain in effect.
The company has contacted law enforcement and promised to release a complete incident report explaining the cause of the vulnerability and its rectification measures. For customers, the report will provide more detailed information on the transfer, while further security checks will determine when the withdrawal service will be resumed.
