Standard Chartered Bank makes surprising predictions on four types of altcoins
As one of the world's leading banks, Standard Chartered Bank has recently attracted attention for expanding its focus from Bitcoin and Ethereum to altcoins. The bank has previously released analysis reports on various altcoins such as AAVE and Uniswap, but now it is focusing on four other tokens.
Traditional finance has entered the blockchain, opening a new era
Geoffrey Kendrick, director of digital asset research at Standard Chartered Bank, pointed out in an interview with Milk Road Crypto that as the traditional financial industry accelerates its migration to blockchain networks, the crypto market may usher in a new era. He emphasized that the tokenization trend is not a short-term phenomenon, but has become a long-term norm.
Kendrick specifically mentioned that four altcoins are expected to benefit significantly from this change: Uniswap (UNI), Morpho (MORPHO), Aave (AAVE) and Arbitrum (ARB). He believes that institutional investors will link real-world assets (RWA), which will greatly promote the growth of the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
Previously, Standard Chartered Bank had predicted that by the end of 2028, the total value of tokenized assets on the chain could reach US$4 trillion. Among them, stablecoins are expected to contribute US$2 trillion, and real-world assets are also expected to contribute US$2 trillion.
Uniswap: US$100 target may be conservative
Although Standard Chartered Bank previously set a target price of US$100 for UNI in its analysis, Kendrick believes that this target may be low even by 2030. He pointed out that the Uniswap platform's strong liquidity network and the mechanism for redirecting transaction fees to token repurchase and destruction will provide strong support for UNI's value appreciation.
Aave and Morpho: The core strength of chain banking
Kendrick regards Aave as the leader of the chain banking system and has set a target price for AAVE of US$3,500 by the end of 2030. For Morpho, he set a goal of $60. Analysts believe that Morpho has greater growth potential in the field of on-chain asset management than Aave.
Arbitrum: The most ambitious bet
Of the four projects, Kendrick's prediction for Arbitrum is the boldest. He believes ARB is expected to reach $10 by 2030. This judgment is based on the fact that Robinhood Chain adopts Arbitrum technology and generates revenue for it.
