XRP's monthly line closed at US$1.4028, with analysts pointing to US$1.20 as the key support.
XRP's recent monthly chart closed at US$1.4028, down US$0.0866, or 5.81%, in the past month. The correction sparked new concerns and discussions among investors, with many trying to understand whether the broader upward trend of the altcoin remains intact.
The role of exponential moving averages
Well-known cryptocurrency analyst EGRAG CRYSTPTO analyzed the current situation in a social media post, emphasizing that the structural prospects of XRP have not been damaged by the recent downward trend. The analyst focused on two key index moving averages (EMA) on monthly charts: the 33-cycle EMA and the 111-cycle EMA, noting that these indicators have historically served as markers of major cycle stages of XRP prices.
He explained that the current 33EMA is located near the XRP price and serves as an important area of resistance in the current cycle. EGRAG CRYSTPTO believes that interaction with these moving averages will be decisive in the next direction of XRP.
"Sometimes people are reading charts, sometimes they are just looking at residue at the bottom of coffee cups, but the core view remains the same: XRP could still drop further to $1.20 and be in line with its massive bullish framework."
He said that historically, price corrections for XRP usually occur during periods when tokens hold these moving averages and often signal subsequent significant increases.
Mini Dictionary: EMA (Exponential Moving Average) is a technical analytical indicator used to track the average price of an asset over a specific period of time, giving higher weight to recent prices to provide trend-following insight.
US$1.20 remains the key support level
EGRAG CRYSTPTO identified US$1.20 as a key level that may determine the next stage of XRP's trend. He described it as his "key line in the sand," meaning that even if XRP falls back to near $1.20, the bullish outlook remains valid. He pointed out that as long as the monthly closing price remains above $1.20, the long-term upside logic of the cryptocurrency will be maintained; if trading continues to fall below that threshold, this view may be challenged.
Looking back on previous cycles, a major correction allowed buyers to accumulate XRP chips at lower prices before starting the next significant rally. EGRAG CRYSTPTO cited these past amendments to strengthen his current views.
He believes that the current correction shows a typical structural building process rather than a collapse of long-term bullish momentum. According to his analysis, as long as the US$1.20 level is not resolutely broken, a bottom for XRP is likely to have formed.
Higher targets and the "Valhalla scenario"
On the upside side, EGRAG CRYSTPTO determined that $1.65 is the direct resistance level that XRP needs to regain to support a continued rebound. The Fibonacci expansion levels plotted on its chart outline several long-term price targets: 1.272 expansion at $5.1643, 1.414 expansion at $6.2092, and 1.618 expansion at $8.0911.
He also maintains a long-term price target of $15, which he calls the "Valhalla scenario." According to EGRAG CRYSTPTO's chart, to achieve this goal, XRP must decisively break through current consolidation areas and follow an upward path similar to previous market cycles dating back to 2013.
