Etherscan launches Robinscan, a block browser specifically built for Robinhood Chain
@Etherscan recently released Robinscan, a dedicated block browser specifically built for @ Robinhood Cryptochain. The tool extends the on-chain transparency capabilities familiar to Ethereum users to Robinhood's growing Layer 2 network.
Robinscan's core capabilities
This browser provides users with a real-time view of network activity, including transaction data, contract deployments and wallet balances, and is similar to what Etherscan has long provided in the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
Robinscan, as a block browser for Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 network based on Arbitrum Nitro, is compatible with Ethereum and uses ETH as a Gas fee. It integrates features similar to Etherscan, the main network of Ethereum, allowing users to search for blocks, transactions, addresses, tokens, tokenized stocks and Nitro batch information on the same platform.
It is worth noting that Robinscan is a read-only browser for Robinhood Chain (Chain ID 4663) and does not require a wallet connection or mnemonic provision. The design was well thought out: According to Robinscan documentation, the platform has been designed in read-only mode since its inception, and users are explicitly warned not to enter mnemonic words or private keys in any search field.
Why Robinhood Chain needs it
Robinhood launched its Layer 2 blockchain Robinhood Chain public main network, enabling tokenized stock trading to be implemented in more than 120 countries, and introduced Robinhood Earn, a decentralized lending product that provides users with USDG expected yields of approximately 7%.
The core selling point of Robinhood Chain is to introduce tokenized stocks and ETFs into the on-chain environment, realizing the integration of traditional financial exposure and DeFi composability. According to Johann Kerbrat, general manager of Robinhood Crypto, in just three weeks after its launch on July 1, the chain has attracted US$450 million in total locked value (TVL) and processed more than 95 million transactions.
In the 30 days ended August 31, the chain's cumulative revenue reached US$3.13 million, ranking third among all blockchains, behind Canton and Tron, and ahead of Base and Ethereum. By September 4, its single-day chain revenue reached US$4.13 million.
The Arbitrum Orbit framework that supports the chain continues to provide lower transaction costs and higher throughput while inheriting the Ethereum security model. The network's ecosystem also includes start-up partners such as Uniswap, and through the integration of Alchemy, BitGo and Chainlink, enables fast block time and DeFi capabilities, including lending.
Faced with this scale of activity, a powerful and industry-standard blockchain browser has become an indispensable infrastructure for traders, developers and institutions on the network.
