POL Cumberland moved US$1.41 million of POL from the exchange, or eased immediate selling pressure.
POL prices remained near US$0.095, trading volume increased, but bearish indicators remained active. If it falls below US$0.09, the target may point to US$0.089; if stronger support is obtained, POL is expected to rebound towards US$0.099.
Polygon (POL) recently experienced unusual exchange activity, with $1.41 million worth of tokens removed from a wallet address called Cumberland. The address extracted 14.6 million POLs from platforms such as Binance, Gate and Coinbase. Such withdrawals often reduce the number of tokens available in the market for immediate sell-off. However, Polygon still faces strong pressure from other market participants. POL supply on exchanges has also increased during recent trading hours. Currently, POL prices are hovering around US$0.095, and traders are facing a critical game between long and short sides.
Cumberland's withdrawal behavior provides some support for bulls
Analyst Nazoku reported on the recent withdrawal dynamics of Cumberland's wallet. The address transferred approximately 14.6 million POLs worth approximately $1.41 million. Cumberland then transferred the tokens to another wallet address. Large-scale withdrawals can reduce selling liquidity within exchanges. When buyer demand remains stable, such actions may support prices. However, as a market maker across different trading venues, Cumberland's inventory transfers are more for liquidity management than for signaling directional trading.
POL still faces pressure from other large market participants. For example, FalconX recently deposited 14 million POLs in Binance. Such deposit operations may increase the potential saleable supply. In addition, the Polygon exchange supply ratio has also risen, recently hitting a two-week high of close to 0.00035. The increase in ratios suggests that more POL is entering the exchange wallet. When demand cannot absorb these tokens, increased exchange supply may weaken the price structure.
Market activity around current price levels has also increased significantly. POL had previously been rejected at around $0.98 and reached a lower low, before falling to around $0.094. As of press time, POL's daily gain was 0.98%, trading at approximately US$0.095. Total transaction volume surged 158% to approximately $83 million. Spot trading volume rose 35% to approximately US$8.17 million; futures trading volume increased 15% to approximately US$38 million.
POL faces two possible paths in the future
Despite Cumberland's withdrawal, Polygon's technical structure still recommends caution. The positive ADX index has fallen for two consecutive weeks and formed a bearish cross amid the recent market weakness. At the same time, the negative directional index remained relatively strong. This pattern shows that sellers currently have stronger momentum.
