Market status and fundamental support
Crypto Michael's voice comes at a time when multiple positive factors are fueling XRP's bullish sentiment. In March 2026, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) jointly issued an explanatory statement classifying XRP as a digital commodity. This regulatory clarity has greatly changed the market environment for institutional participants, and the SEC has recently expanded this initiative.
In terms of partnerships, Ripple announced in August that it had reached a cross-border payment agreement with South Korea's Jeonbuk Bank. Shortly thereafter, Ripple and SettleMint announced a strategic partnership with regulated financial institutions to build a unified digital asset custody, issuance and lifecycle management system, with the first applications to be launched in Asia.
Markets at a turning point
Earlier this year, the size of tokenized real-world assets on the XRP ledger exceeded the US$3 billion mark. At the same time, Rakuten Wallet integrated XRP functionality for 44 million users in Japan, and RLUSD was officially launched in Japan through SBI Holdings in June.
