Ethereum Price Forecast: Analysts say ETH is expected to hit US$10,000 to US$15,000 in the next shanzhai season.
Ethereum is currently trading at approximately US$2,740.20, but one analyst believes that during the next altcoin season, ETH prices may eventually reach US$10,000 to US$15,000. Analyst CryptoPatel shared this prediction on the X platform, using his Ethereum roadmap as the basis for goals. This is an expectation that has risen significantly from current levels, so the chart behind this forecast deserves in-depth analysis. His two-week chart shows that Ethereum is in a larger cyclical structure connected to Bitcoin's four-year halving cycle, with a potential cyclical high of $16,000 around 2027-2028.
Ethereum prices still face significant resistance
We looked at Ethereum's chart. In the past two weeks of trading, ETH prices have risen 1.94%, with a high of $2,773.97 and a low of $2,635.35. The first major obstacle is around $3,945, which is consistent with Ethereum's peak in the previous cycle. If this barrier can be exceeded, US$8,000 and US$10,000 will become new targets of attention.
CryptoPatel's larger chart target is $16,000, while in the longer-term roadmap,$32,000 and $60,000 are marked as higher levels.

Downside risks are equally important. The US$2,000 area forms part of the current accumulation area, followed by the US$1,000 main structural support level. A break below $1,000 would invalidate the bullish wave count used in its forecast.
The logic behind the Ethereum four-year cycle as the US$16,000 target
CryptoPatel's view is based on two points: Ethereum's past price trends and Bitcoin's four-year halving pace. On the chart, he marked halving events in 2016, 2020 and 2024, and corresponded Ethereum's surge with the second half of each cycle.
Looking back in 2016, the trading price of ETH was approximately US$10. During the 2017 cycle, it soared to about $1,400. The market then fell sharply to about $80. It has since climbed again, reaching approximately $4,800 in 2021. After that, it fell back to about $880 in 2022, which is the starting point of the current cycle.
The chart marks the current stage as Wave 4, the accumulation area. The next fifth wave (Wave 5) will be where CryptoPatel expects a larger gain, with $16,000 marked as a potential cyclical high for 2027-2028.
Ethereum upgrades and bullish reasons for possible increase in ETF flows
This forecast comes as Ethereum prepares for another major network upgrade. The "Glamstam" upgrade is scheduled to be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2026 and aims to improve Layer 1 scalability through features such as parallel execution and institutionalized proposer-builder separation.
If these upgrades increase network capacity and efficiency, they may enhance the usefulness of Ethereum and create another consideration for the development of ETH prices.
Institutional demand is inconsistent. For the week ending October 2, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF recorded a net outflow of $118 million, compared with an inflow of $689.8 million the previous week.
At the same time, whale positions remain significant. According to Lookonchain, addresses holding 1,000 to 10,000 ETH now control more than 14.2 million ETH. This accumulation occurred while ETH continued to encounter resistance in the $2,750 - 2,800 range. The area is also a key area for traders to watch closely before the next big move.
Can ETH reach US$15,000?
CryptoPatel's $10,000 - 15,000 target requires Ethereum to achieve a larger increase from its current position. The chart points out that the first major hurdle to clear is $3,945, followed by $8,000 and $10,000, before the cycle target of $16,000 will come into play.
To achieve this goal, Ethereum's technical structure needs to remain solid, network upgrades need to be implemented smoothly, and the needs of both institutions and whales need to support the market. Currently,$2,800 is an immediate level that requires immediate attention, while $3,945 is the next major resistance area.
FAQs
Can Ethereum reach US$10,000?
To reach $10,000, ETH prices need to rise significantly, far beyond the current level of about $2,740. CryptoPatel's roadmap puts $10,000 on the expected path to a potential $16,000 cyclical high.
Whether the Ethereum ETF is still seeing capital inflows
After recording an inflow of US$689.8 million last week, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF recorded a net outflow of US$118 million in the week ending October 2. This provides an important indicator for observing institutional demand factors in ETH prices.
