CoinShares: Key factors that determine the price of Bitcoin
There has been a fascinating assessment of the future trend of Bitcoin (BTC) recently in the cryptocurrency market. Digital asset management company CoinShares pointed out that in the near future, Bitcoin prices will not only be affected by the Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decisions, but will also be largely affected by changes in the U.S. Treasury market.
In particular, the rise in long-term government bond yields has increased upward pressure on Bitcoin, prompting investors to turn their attention to developments in the U.S. economy.
CoinShares Analysis: Who dominates the Bitcoin price?
According to an assessment report released by CoinShares, the correlation between Bitcoin price fluctuations and U.S. Treasury yields is becoming increasingly prominent. The company emphasized that changes in the long-term treasury bond market in particular could become a decisive factor in the decision-making of Bitcoin investors.
Report data shows that the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury bond has exceeded 5.3%, while the yield on the 30-year Treasury bond has climbed to above 5.7%. These indicators show that long-term government bond yields are close to their highest levels in more than two decades.
Deep Logic: Economic Expectations and Debt Concerns
James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, pointed out that the reasons behind the rise in U.S. Treasury yields are crucial to judging Bitcoin's future performance.
Butterfill analysis believes that if the rise in yields is due to strong economic growth expectations, the upward pressure on Bitcoin may continue to exist. However, if this upward trend reflects concerns about the United States 'growing public debt and fiscal sustainability, a very different scenario could emerge.
In this case, some investors may begin to view Bitcoin as an alternative asset to counter risks in the traditional financial system. Especially as concerns about the U.S. debt burden intensify, it is expected to push Bitcoin back to the center of market vision as a long-term investment tool.
Capital flow: Bitcoin funds received a net inflow of US$11.1 billion
Data disclosed by CoinShares shows that since mid-July, cryptocurrency investment products have achieved a net capital inflow of approximately US$11.1 billion. This progress shows that during this time period, there is strong market demand for digital asset investment products.
However, the company also pointed out that the pace of capital inflows slowed significantly in the recent week. Investors are becoming cautious, suggesting that uncertainty may persist in the short term. In particular, the flow of funds for Bitcoin investment products is an important indicator for observing the market attitude of institutional investors.
If capital inflows accelerate again, it will be regarded as a positive signal on the demand side; conversely, if outflows increase, it may increase selling pressure.
Future Outlook: Focus on Federal Reserve Policy and the Treasury Bond Market
Looking to the future, in addition to the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decisions, the trend of U.S. Treasury yields and the flow of institutional funds will be key monitoring points affecting changes in bitcoin prices.
CoinShares 'analysis shows that rising Treasury yields do not necessarily lead to the same negative outcomes. The key is whether the increase in yields stems from the growth of economic fundamentals or concerns about the fiscal situation of U.S. bonds, which will directly change investors 'allocation strategies for Bitcoin.
