Aperture AC and Atlantic HPC Group complete the acquisition, adding 29 MW of contracted power capacity.

Aperture AC (NASDAQ: APUR) and Atlantic HPC Group officially completed the acquisition of Valley Oasis Development LLC on September 23, 2026. The transaction added 29 MW of contracted power capacity to the platform.

Siting advantages and capacity expansion

The new site is located on an acre of Bekaert Drive in Dyersburg, Tennessee, next to the substation and about 86 miles from the city of Memphis. The site is located in the Heavy Industry Subzone and is powered by the Fort Dale Power System and is powered by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The transaction did not disclose the specific purchase price.

The acquisition brings Atlantic's total approved utility power capacity to 127 MW, with an additional 76 MW under development. These facilities span Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio and the newly added state of Tennessee. "This acquisition significantly increases our approved power capacity," Atlantic's chief financial officer said in the announcement. Calvin Kung, CEO of Aperture, said: "In a grid-constrained environment, having a larger approved power portfolio will be a competitive advantage for the company."

Analysis of "Power First" Strategy

In the past two years, as power grid operators across the country have faced increased demand from large-scale computing facility construction, while grid connection queuing times have become longer and competition has intensified, utility-approved capacity has become Bitcoin mining and AI Data Center One of the most stressful bottlenecks in the industry. Projects like Dyersburg, which have approved capacity and are adjacent to substation land, can often get electricity faster than greenfield projects that are still waiting for utility connection studies. This is why acquiring approved sites has become a common growth strategy for power-intensive mining and computing operators.
