Key Points
The net inflows of XRP ETFs continued to increase for the 13th week, despite a 7.3% decline in XRP prices. Bitwise led the inflows, while other crypto funds performed poorly.
XRP ETFs have recorded net inflows for 13 consecutive weeks, although prices dropped by 7.3% due to institutional demand.
It is reported that the streak of net inflows into U.S.-listed XRP ETFs has extended to 13 weeks. From October 5th to October 9th, despite a 7% decrease in XRP’s market value, these ETFs still attracted approximately $11.3 million in funds. This phenomenon highlights the growing disconnect between the demand for regulated XRP investment products and the overall performance of the crypto market.
This week, XRP prices fell from around $1.52 to $1.40, with the lowest point reaching $1.32. Meanwhile, the cumulative net inflows into XRP ETFs reached nearly $1.8 billion.
Despite a 7% price drop, XRP ETF inflows continued.
The latest weekly inflows were concentrated in a few specific investment products, rather than being evenly distributed among various issuers. It is reported that Bitwise’s XRP ETF attracted approximately $10.55 million, accounting for most of the positive inflows during that week. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ increased by about $4.1 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC recorded a net outflow of approximately $3.34 million.
This concentration is significant: if Bitwise’s contribution is excluded, the net inflows from the remaining products would be less than $1 million. Independent calculations based on issuer reports indicate that there was an increase of approximately 7.9 million XRPs this week, equivalent to about $11.1 million in terms of daily prices.
This purchase behavior follows the net inflow of $111.49 million in XRP ETFs recorded in the last week of August. At that time, XRP also faced pressure to maintain its price levels.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs experienced significant redemptions. In contrast, XRP continued to receive positive weekly inflows, while other cryptocurrency investment products suffered substantial redemptions. During the same period, American spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly lost around $681 million, while Ethereum funds experienced a net outflow of approximately $542 million. Solana-related products also recorded an outflow of about $24.8 million.
In total, these three types of products lost approximately $1.25 billion, whereas XRP funds continued to experience positive inflows. This divergence continues the trend observed earlier, where XRP funds attracted investments, while competing cryptocurrency ETFs experienced redemptions.
