XStocks 'decentralized exchange trading volume exceeded the billion-dollar mark, but the data has yet to be verified.
According to unconfirmed reports, tokenized stock issuer XStocks' decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume has exceeded US$1 billion, marking a further expansion of its presence in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. However, this transaction volume data has not been confirmed by the issuer or any major chain data sets, and its statistical window and coverage remain unverified.
Summary of core points
- A single second-hand source reported that xStocks 'trading volume on DEX has exceeded US$1 billion.
- Neither the issuer's statement nor the raw data set confirmed the statistical period, trading venue or methodology for this data.
- Trading volume measures the frequency of trading activity, not net capital inflows or the number of sole holders.
On the composition of the "billion dollars" data
This milestone was reported by Crypto Briefing, which reported that the total amount was accumulated over approximately 30 days, with Raydium handling approximately 75% of xStocks DEX traffic. These data come from a single secondary source and are not supported by associated raw data, so the total amount, statistical window period, and proportion of locations should be considered unconfirmed reports.
No issuer announcements, on-chain browser records or historical DEX datasets have been found to support the amount or its statistical window. The report also listed SPYx at the forefront of the activity, but the range of holders and market value methodology behind it have not been independently verified.
Looking at broader trends, Solana Spot DEX has previously been reported to show billions of dollars in tokenized stock trading, and as equity demand grows, the network's tokenized stock weekly trading volume has exceeded US$1 billion. However, these belong to different data sets and cannot confirm the specific total amount for xStocks.
The difference between trading volume and capital inflows and liquidity
Trading volume measures trading activity in a specific set of venues over a specific period of time. Repeated buying and selling of the same batch of tokens will increase the total amount, so a simple high transaction volume figure does not in itself prove that there is net capital entering the product. In addition, trading volume does not reflect the depth of liquidity or the number of independent traders. If active wallets are highly concentrated, even if they lack widespread adoption, they can generate huge turnover rates, which is why the unconfirmed 75% of Raydium's share is crucial to interpreting headlines.
According to the issuer's description, xStocks is backed on a 1:1 basis by underlying stocks or ETFs held by regulated custodians. As a current market snapshot, the SP500xStock (SPYx) shows a total 24-hour trading volume of approximately US$24.59 million, with a market cap of nearly US$60 million. This is token-level data and is neither DEX-only nor ecosystem-wide.
SPYx 24-hour total trading volume: US$24.59 million
Data source: CoinGecko; research snapshot was obtained on September 15, 2026 at 01:16 UTC (US dollars, rounded). This is the total SP500xStock (SPYX) transaction volume across venues and is not limited to transactions within DEX or the ecosystem only. This snapshot cannot verify the reported xStocks DEX 30-day $1 billion milestone, nor can it establish a response to news. Confirmed news: Kraken launches revenue vault
Confirmed developments from the issuer have nothing to do with the above trading volume proposition. On September 14, 2026, according to the issuer's product page, xStocks announced the launch of Yield Vaults for SPYx, QQx and NVDax on Kraken and Kraken Pro.
These vaults advertise a maximum net fee yield of 2%, and rewards are described as variable and not guaranteed. Holders can make allocations starting from US$1 and apply for divestment requires a three-day waiting period. These vaults are supported by Veda and operated by Sentora, using Priy embedded wallets and initially routed through Kamino on the Solana network.
The issuer stated that its total deposits in its existing stablecoins and Bitcoin DeFi vaults have exceeded US$800 million, but made it clear that this does not represent xStocks 'asset size under management (AUM). XStocks is issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, is not registered with the SEC, is not available to U.S. persons, and does not provide FDIC or SIPC protection.
Darius Tabatabai, head of Kraken Pro, said: "Every idle xStocks position is capital that has not been fully utilized. Customers are already able to receive dividend income on selected xStocks, and our new vault allows customers to receive additional on-chain income from their positions."
Follow-up focus
The current critical gap is data verification. Comparable detailed breakdowns of daily or weekly trading volumes, venues, and depth of liquidity data will help determine whether the reported surge in turnover rates is sustained or short-lived. As of September 15, crypto market sentiment was at the 69 (greedy) level, although this reading was not linked to the news.
