Why the Lisk token destruction was initiated and recent changes in Lisk
The Lisk DAO vault was originally designed to fund the Lisk Chain ecosystem and gradually become decentralized. As long as Lisk Chain remains a core project, the plan is logical.
However, with the announcement of the closure of the Lisk chain and the creation of a new "money operation platform" company around the finance team based on stablecoins, the plan is no longer reasonable.
It was the rebranding of Lisk Chain that launched the destruction operation. As the chain disappears, the DAO structure built around it no longer has clear tasks. Therefore, the team proposes to transfer future project funds from the DAO vault back to the Onchain Foundation. The proposal was adopted.
