NEAR Bitwise Spot NEAR ETF is approved by the New York Stock Exchange, moving towards the first NEAR protocol spot ETF in the United States
With the approval of its listing application on the New York Stock Exchange Arca, Bitwise has cleared the last exchange-level hurdle facing its spot NEAR exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The asset management company registered the relevant shares with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) through Form 8-A on September 24. The registration covers the ordinary share of the Bitwise NEAR ETF traded on NYSE Arca, bringing the fund one step closer to becoming the first spot ETF in the United States linked to the NEAR protocol (Layer-1 blockchain network).
Key information confirmed on Form 8-A
This document was signed by Teddy Fusaro, Bitwise's chief operating officer, registered shares under Section 12(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and clearly stated that "the listing application has been submitted and approved with NYSE Arca, Inc." The document quotes the trust fund's S-1 registration statement, file number 333-286995. The shares are expected to be traded under the code "NRR", but the document does not set a first trading day, but states that the shares will be listed "upon receipt of the issue notice." It should be noted that this approval is only an exchange-level step, and the SEC has not yet made an approval or veto decision on the security itself.
Fees, Pledge and Custody Structure
