Dots：全天候自主行动的智能体

"Dots" is the protagonist of this conference. OpenAI describes it as an "all-weather agent with excellent capabilities." This means that AI is no longer just answering questions, but is able to act on its own and continue to work after you close your laptop. This concept coincides with the concepts developed by the open source AI agent platforms Hermes and Openclaw over the past few months.

Each Dots runs on OpenAI's flagship model GPT-6 Astra and is equipped with a separate cloud computer and web browser. It has access to more than 4,000 applications and learns user preferences through feedback. Users can interact with them through ChatGPT, voice calls, or Slack and Teams, and the SMS feature will be available soon.

Dots follows built-in rules that clarify when they can act independently; operations involving sensitive tasks such as changing passwords are still reserved for humans. In eligible markets, Pro and Commercial Premium users will receive the first Dots for free, while free users and Plus users will not include this service for the time being.

ChatGPT Space: Shared workspace for human-computer collaboration

ChatGPT Space is a shared workspace where team members, ChatGPT, and everyone's Dots can collaborate based on the same project knowledge base. This is similar to shared drives plus Group chats, but the members include software. Space has introduced a new document format,"Pages", designed for co-editing by humans and agents.

During the keynote presentation, Holly Li of OpenAI marked up colleagues and her own Dots in Space and assigned tasks: writing frequently asked questions (FAQs), updating progress, and organizing Slack's private chat records. Collaboration slides that support export to PowerPoint or Google Slides will be available in the coming weeks.

Space is currently available for users of Pro, Business and Enterprise plans and supports both desktop and web sides. It is worth noting that the $20 per month Plus plan is not yet included in this feature list. Mobile can read and share pages, but the ability to create pages is coming soon.

GPT-6.1 Sol: A cost-effective working model

GPT-6.1 Sol is the new main model of OpenAI, which debuted a week after the release of GPT-6 Sol. OpenAI said Sol's performance in proxy programming, computer use and professional work is almost comparable to that of GPT-6 Astra, but its token price is only one-fifth that of Astra. Tokens are text fragments read and written by models, and are also the basic unit of billing for AI companies.

Sol is available in APIs and ChatGPT Work and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and education users. The release comes at a time of fierce competition. OpenAI canceled its October release plan for GPT-6.1 Astra, and CEO Sam Altman also told CNBC that it would announce the version later.

Ultrafast: Extreme speed experience

External developers can build custom experiences within ChatGPT through plug-in extensions, including sidebar home pages, interactive panels next to conversations, and viewers for specific file types. OpenAI said it is making the platform it uses to build its own capabilities open to all plans.

This idea has a long history. OpenAI launched custom GPTs on its first DevDay in 2023 and transformed ChatGPT into an application platform in October 2025. These apps are now called plug-ins, and redesignated directories rank and recommend them, or even embed them into conversations. According to OpenAI, with a weekly user base of 1.2 billion, this is a huge storefront. Users can choose which plug-ins to use and approve their access rights.

OpenAI Marketplace: Enterprise Marketplace

OpenAI Marketplace allows eligible enterprise customers to use part of their existing OpenAI prepaid commitments for approved partner software. The first 32 partners include Adobe and Figma (creative work), Salesforce, HubSpot and ServiceNow (customer experience), Harvey and Legora (legal affairs), and Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike (cybersecurity).

Corporate customers can now express interest. In addition, the schedule shows that the Decisions API will be fully available in the next few days, followed by GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast, and a preview version of Private Inference will be available this fall.
