AVAX is undergoing a major transformation, and its underlying technology and investment environment have attracted much attention from the market.
Currently, the Kenyan government's decision to adopt the Avalanche (Avalanche Protocol) blockchain network and use its ability to create untamperable decentralized records to combat academic fraud fully demonstrates this trend. The Kenya National Examinations Commission (KNEC), the national body responsible for overseeing Kenya's national examinations, has migrated more than 30 million academic records to the Avalanche blockchain, and relevant news has been announced on Platform X (formerly Twitter).
KNEC adopts Avalanche to curb academic fraud
With the integrated application of Avalanche, the African country is addressing the challenges posed by lengthy bureaucratic processes. The program directly addresses the problem of academic certificate forgery that has long plagued employers, universities and state institutions. Every year in Kenya, thousands of academic records are forged, and criminals use fake academic qualifications to obtain job opportunities. Recently disclosed information shows that due to the obsolescence of the system, the problem of a large number of people successfully joining the workforce through fake academic qualifications has surfaced.
With an efficient decentralized system powered by the Avalanche blockchain, KNEC is ready to achieve instant authentication of academic documents. In a recent appearance before a parliamentary committee in April, KNEC officials admitted that old technology was severely hampering efforts to detect forged academic qualifications. The agency admitted that the system they use is more than a decade old and it is difficult to certify academic qualifications in an instant manner. In addition, the national-level agency also revealed that the current slow, inefficient and costly system has loopholes and has been widely utilized.
AVAX's growth and real-world demand trends
To address these shortcomings, KNEC today announced a partnership with Avalanche to implement a modern, efficient and decentralized verification system. This means that the agency has adopted a tamper-proof electronic authentication mechanism nationwide through the Avalanche blockchain. By registering more than 30 million academic records online, any employer, organization or individual can now verify the authenticity of documents in a non-tamper manner within seconds without the need for intermediaries.
Kenya's collaboration with Avalanche further demonstrates that AVAX is back in the spotlight as institutions grow demand for its decentralized network. Known for its scalability and near-instant final confirmation, Avalanche has proven itself to be more than just an ordinary Layer-1 network, but a bridge between on-chain interactions and real-world applications.
This development shows that organizations are exploring Avalanche to meet customized compliance requirements, enterprise-level needs, and regulated real-world assets (RWAs). Data shows that AVAX's market growth is showing signs of recovery, with projects including KNEC increasing liquidity and user activity. Currently, AVAX ranks 22nd by market value, demonstrating its popularity and market growth potential.
