BTC PowerCompute expands capacity to 11 MW in Columbus, Mississippi data center
PowerCompute Inc. A filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 6, 2026, disclosed that the company has signed a new agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to increase contract power for its data center in Columbus, Mississippi from 8.5 MW to 11 MW. The agreement was implemented on September 30 and officially came into effect on October 1.
As a Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin miner, PowerCompute said the expansion allowed the company to circumvent a capacity commitment fee of approximately $9 million. According to the new TVA data center tariff classification, a fee of approximately US$1.5 million per megawatt is payable for the portion of the contract load that exceeds the first 5 megawatts. Through this adjustment, the Columbus Power and Water Department also refunded a $300,000 deposit, freeing up additional operating capital for the company.
Bruce Rodgers, CEO of PowerCompute, pointed out: "Today's Columbus has become a better mining site. This means the site already qualifies for the tariff classification required for any high-performance computing (HPC) facility under TVA power." He emphasized that the site is ready to support high-performance computing loads in addition to existing Bitcoin mining operations.
