SVRN acquires FastNEAR, incorporates core NEAR data infrastructure internally

SVRN acquires FastNEAR, and includes NEAR's core infrastructure operation rights under its command.

SVRN announced on October 8 that it has completed the acquisition of FastNEAR. The transaction makes the service provider, which provides RPC, archiving and data infrastructure for the NEAR network, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SVRN. Through this move, SVRN will capture the operating layer of the NEAR ecosystem, while previously SVRN's business focus was mainly concentrated on asset reserves. However, SVRN did not disclose specific financial terms in the attachment to Form 6-K submitted.

Massive data processing capabilities and infrastructure scale

According to SVRN documents, FastNEAR's system processes more than 3.5 billion requests and more than 100TB of data per month. The acquisition not only establishes FastNEAR's status as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SVRN, but also establishes a direct link at the company level to a company that provides core access rights and data services to NEAR users and developers.

It is worth noting that the October 8 announcement did not disclose the consideration paid or other financial details. SVRN positions the move as an acquisition of the infrastructure operator itself, rather than a purely product integration or business partnership. This distinction is critical because RPC, archiving and data services are the underlying operating systems used to access blockchain information and support applications built on the network.

  • RPC基础设施:为应用程序和用户查询区块链、提交交互提供通道;
  • 归档服务:保存历史区块链数据;

According to a company announcement released via PR Newswire, FastNEAR co-founders Evgeny Kuzyakov and Mike Purvis have joined SVRN as part of the deal. According to TokenPost reported on October 11, the existing FastNEAR team will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. As a result, this transaction combines ownership change with continuity of service operators.

This continuity is particularly critical for infrastructures that handle high request volumes. SVRN said that relevant services will continue to operate uninterrupted, but its announcement did not clarify the product change timetable, staffing plan or specific investment arrangements after the transaction.

First operating entity to exceed asset reserves

TokenPost described FastNEAR as SVRN's first operating business in addition to asset reserve activities. The acquisition transforms SVRN from obtaining exposure solely through reserve management to having ownership of an active infrastructure provider.

SVRN said it plans to invest in FastNEAR's infrastructure reliability, capacity expansion and new products. In a separate press release, the company also reiterated that FastNEAR's services will remain uninterrupted. At present, the company has not disclosed the expected investment amount, the specific products it plans to add or the expansion schedule.

The most significant change at this stage lies in ownership: FastNEAR's existing operating system and team have been integrated into SVRN, and the company has signaled to the outside world to participate more extensively in NEAR's critical infrastructure operations.
