BNB Chain launches a new Layer 1 for AI transactions, aiming to be launched on the main network in 2

BNB Chain announced plans to develop a new first-level blockchain specifically for agency trading, marking an important step in building infrastructure dedicated to artificial intelligence decentralized finance. As part of BNB Chain\'s technology roadmap for the second half of 2026, the new network is designed to provide centralized exchange-like performance while retaining the transparency and self-custody capabilities of on-chain transactions.

BNB Chain roadmap for the second half of 2026

This roadmap introduces a dedicated first-layer network specifically designed for AI agents, high-speed transactions and next-generation blockchain performance. The project is expected to launch the public test network at the end of 2026, with the main network target to be released in early 2027. The new blockchain will not replace the existing ecosystem, but will run in parallel with BNB Smart Chain (BSC), opBNB and Greenfield, connect through official native bridges, and continue to use BNB as a core asset of the ecosystem. Recently, CZ clarified that he neither owns nor knows the Meme coins $CZ,$TCC and $AB on BNB Chain.

Designed for AI-driven transactions

BNB Chain\'s technology roadmap for the second half of 2026 has now been released. After shortening the BSC block interval to 450 milliseconds and nearly doubling benchmark throughput to approximately 5200 TPS, the next goal is to double performance on the main network. How will BNB Chain develop next?

According to BNB Chain, this new Layer 1 is designed to support autonomous AI agents capable of executing transactions, managing investment portfolios, providing liquidity, arbitrage, and interacting with decentralized financial protocols. Unlike BNB Smart Chain, which is a universal smart contract network, the new blockchain is specifically optimized for ultra-low latency execution and high-frequency on-chain transactions. To achieve this goal, the network plans to introduce a sub-50-millisecond pre-confirmation mechanism that allows transactions to receive near-instant confirmation before final settlement. In addition, BNB Chain\'s goal is to process more than 100,000 transactions per second and sub-second final certainty, thereby bringing the performance of decentralized transactions closer to the level of a centralized exchange.

The new architecture reduces MEV

roadmap introduces TxStream, a new transaction flow architecture that abandons traditional public memory pools to reduce opportunities for preemptive transactions and sandwich attacks. In addition, PriorityLane will reserve transaction capacity for key operations such as oracle price updates, clearing and cross-chain bridge transfers to help the network maintain reliability during periods of congestion.

Roadmap based on recent performance improvements

This announcement follows major performance improvements to BNB Smart Chain. According to the roadmap for the second half of 2026, BNB Chain has shortened the BSC block interval to 450 milliseconds while nearly doubling the benchmark throughput to approximately 5200 TPS. The next goal of the network is to double the performance of the main network and further improve scalability and execution speed. In addition to the new Layer 1, the roadmap also includes continuous optimization of BNB Smart Chain, development of Reth-based execution clients, expansion of support for parallel execution, provision of AI-oriented development tools, and research into post-quantum cryptography to strengthen the long-term security of the blockchain.

Through these initiatives, BNB Chain is positioning its ecosystem as an infrastructure for next-generation AI native decentralized applications and autonomous financial agencies, in line with the industry\'s pursuit of faster, more scalable blockchain infrastructure trends. BNB Chain has recorded moderate but steady growth over the past week, with the total locked value increasing from $4.85 billion to $4.97 billion between June 29 and July 5.
