BNB Chain\'s first-level blockchain sword means to achieve 100,000 TPS by 2027

BNB Chain targets 100,000 transactions per second, with transaction pre-confirmations of less than 50 milliseconds

BNB Chain is developing a new generation of first-level blockchain designed to provide centralized exchange-level performance while maintaining on-chain transparency and self-custody. The network will support more than 100,000 transactions per second (TPS), with a transaction pre-confirmation target of less than 50 milliseconds, and a block final confirmation time of less than 1 second. The test network is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2026, and the main network is expected to be released in early 2027.

Support AI transactions and enterprise-level privacy

The project also aims to support AI-based proxy transactions, confidential transactions and enterprise-level privacy functions, while expanding the BNB ecosystem. The new Layer 1 network removes public memory pools through the TxStream feature and routes transactions directly to block leaders. According to David Z, chief technology officer of BNB Chain, this design significantly reduces latency while making common front-end trading strategies, including sandwich attacks, impractical.

The network will also include PriorityLane, which reserves block space for key transactions such as oracle updates, clearing and bridging operations. Features such as native privacy, transaction batch processing, passkey signing and selective disclosure are designed to improve the user experience while meeting corporate compliance needs.

Long-term Roadmap: Research on Capacity Expansion and Quantum Resistance

In addition to the new network, BNB Chain\'s long-term roadmap also includes doubling the throughput of the BNB intelligent chain and eventually increasing capacity tenfold. Developers are also studying implementing quantum-resistant cryptography through a hybrid security model and account abstraction. BNB Chain said that the new blockchain is designed to complement rather than replace BNB smart chains, focusing on high-performance use cases that require higher execution speeds.
