This question may seem simple, but the answer depends on XRP prices, personal goals, and people\'s definition of \"rich.\" Levi from Levi\'s YouTube channel breaks down this issue into several aspects: current XRP positions, future price targets, and the XRP Rich List.
Levi first pointed out that in Western markets, the comfortable starting level is usually about $100,000, the more solid upper and middle class level is about $500,000, and the millionaire threshold is close to $1 million.
Based on XRP trading at close to $1, Levi said investors need to hold large amounts of XRP today to meet these goals. He roughly calculated that a lower wealth goal would require approximately 92,000 to 926,000 XRPs.
Higher numbers for XRP Price Chart / TradingView.com are even more difficult to achieve. Levi said that by today\'s standards, a person needs approximately 9.26 million XRPs to be considered very rich. He also admitted that this number is out of reach for most ordinary earners.
XRP price target changes calculation of the rich list
Levi then moves to the more interesting parts. If the price of XRP increases, the amount of XRP required will decrease rapidly. His example is simple:
When the XRP price is US$2, 500,000 XRPs are needed to reach US$1 million; when the XRP price is US$5, 200,000 XRPs are needed; when the XRP price is US$10, 100,000 XRPs are needed; and when the XRP price is US$100, 10,000 XRPs are needed.
Levi said his personal long-term goal is for XRP to reach $100 over the next 10 years. He linked this view to Ripple\'s partnerships, the adoption of XRP ledgers, real-world asset tokenization, derivatives markets, and institutional use cases.
This prospect remains ambitious. However, Levi believes that XRP does not need to reach extreme numbers like $1000, and small holders can also see life-changing value.
Levi said that the ranking of XRP holders is also important.
Levi also checked the XRP Rich List. He said most XRP wallets hold fewer than 500 XRPs, which means that users holding more than 500 XRPs already exceed many accounts in the XRP economy. He added that holding 2000 XRPs could put an account close to the top 10% of XRP holders. About 7511 XRPs could bring holders closer to the top 5%, while about 45000 XRPs could bring someone closer to the top 1%.
This part is important because wealth can be measured from two perspectives. One view is to compare the value of XRP to the U.S. dollar. Another view is to compare XRP holders with other XRP holders.
XRP long-term outlook continues to support bullish expectations
Levi\'s discussion centered on how many XRP tokens a person needs to hold to accumulate considerable wealth over time. This conversation naturally raises another question: Can XRP prices really rise enough to achieve these goals? If several important catalysts appear at the same time, XRP could trade above $12 by 2028. These factors include: broader adoption of XRP ledgers, stronger inflows of cash XRP ETF funds, a clearer regulatory environment, and another bitcoin-led cryptocurrency bull market.
Standard Chartered Bank also outlined a bullish scenario that under favorable market conditions, XRP will reach approximately US$12.50 by 2028.
XRP has seen larger gains before. During the historic 2017 bull market, the token rose from approximately US$0.0063 to an all-time high of US$3.84 in January 2018, an increase of more than 35,000%.
Recently, XRP broke through the long-term trading range in November 2024, with an increase of approximately 294%, and then the rally continued into early 2025, when prices traded above US$3 on multiple exchanges.
Mathematical calculations also show that XRP may rise to US$13, but this requires a huge inflow of funds. A rise from about $1.08 to $13 means an increase of about 12 times, and based on current circulating supply, XRP\'s market value will reach about $812 billion. This valuation would place XRP among the world\'s largest financial assets.
