Backpack has launched a round-the-clock, 7-day, non-stop tokenized U.S. stock trading service to more than 150 countries and regions.

Users can gain actual ownership of real securities rather than synthetic derivatives, and support instant settlement.

Since its launch in June, tokenized SpaceX shares have become the most actively traded tokenized private company shares.

Over the past 12 months, the tokenized stock market has grown from US$379 million to US$1.85 billion.

Industry giants such as Nasdaq, New York Stock Exchange, Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken are all expanding their tokenized stock platforms.

Cryptocurrency platform Backpack has launched a service that allows global investors to trade tokenized U.S. stocks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service covers more than 150 countries and regions, provides actual ownership of real securities and has instant settlement capabilities.

Backpack launches the first round-the-clock brokerage service that supports real U.S. stocks.

International investors can now buy and sell select U.S. stocks on Backpack 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Non-synthetic products. Non-derivatives. Real stocks-can be traded around the clock.

Through the first never-closing market infrastructure...

The first batch of stocks launched this time include SpaceX, Micron Technology and SanDisk related stocks. Backpack said it will gradually include more securities in the future. Transactions can be completed using traditional fiat currencies or stablecoins.

Backpack's unique approach to tokenization

Unlike similar products that only mirror stock prices, Backpack provides buyers with actual ownership of real securities. This is a key difference from the synthetic or derivative methods used by some competitors.

The platform also provides a tokenized version of similar stocks based on Solana. These digital assets can be transferred between wallets, integrated into decentralized financial protocols, and exchanged one-to-one with physical stocks through Backpack's infrastructure.

Backpack has disclosed its plans for an initial public offering in the United States. Participants who have pledged the platform's native tokens for at least 12 months will have the right to exchange those tokens for company shares after the IPO.

Since its launch in June, tokenized SpaceX stock has become the most actively traded tokenized stock of the private space exploration company. Backpack declined to disclose specific transaction volumes or provide comparative data with competing platforms.

Rapid expansion in the tokenized stock space

According to data from RWA.xyz, the total size of the tokenized stock market has grown from approximately US$379 million to US$1.85 billion in the past year. In the past 30 days alone, distributed value has increased by 28.6%, while monthly transfer activity has soared more than 85% to $8.76 billion.

Cryptocurrency platforms are the main driver of this growth. Kraken completed the acquisition of xStocks founder Backed Finance at the end of 2025 and integrated it into its own ecosystem. Bybit and Bitget have also added xStocks functionality. Coinbase and Binance have both launched their own tokenized stock products in recent months.

Traditional financial institutions are also joining this wave. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved Nasdaq's pilot project in March to promote the trading of tokenized stocks on the same exchange as traditional securities.

The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Securitize to develop a continuous trading market for tokenized stocks and ETFs.

In April this year, the American Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation revealed that it plans to launch a tokenized securities platform in October. The pilot project covers more than 50 financial and cryptocurrency companies.

The addition of Backpack has brought new competitors to a market that is rapidly attracting cryptocurrency platforms and established Wall Street institutions.
