Uniswap integrates Sky\'s LitePeg to realize 1:1 redemption of DAI, USDS and USDC

Uniswap integrates Sky\'s LitePeg to achieve 1:1 conversion of DAI, USDS and USDC.

Uniswap has integrated a new routing infrastructure to connect transactions involving DAI, USDS and USDC directly to Sky\'s LitePeg stability module. Thanks to this update, users can now exchange these three stablecoins at an accurate 1:1 parity on the platform. The move aims to reduce trading slips and reduce reliance on external market makers.

New routing mechanism officially launched

LitePeg is a mechanism that ensures that exchanges between DAI, USDS and USDC are automatically performed at parity. By leveraging the system in transaction steps involving these stablecoins, Uniswap is able to minimize price impacts and access deeper liquidity pools. This advance gives users direct access to millions of dollars \'worth of reserves in the Sky system.

Dictionary: LitePeg is a liquidity and balance mechanism designed to perform conversions between specific stablecoin pairs at a fixed exchange rate. Sky (formerly Maker) continues to release DAI and USDS under new brands.

This integration was jointly completed by Uniswap Labs, Uniswap DAO and Sky. It is worth noting that this change did not deploy new smart contracts, but was achieved by revising the routing logic of the UniswapX layer, which affected the way routers process transactions.

According to information provided by the project team, with routing now handled by LitePeg, every transaction step involving DAI, USDS or USDC on Uniswap can be completed at parity.

Goal: Minimize price impact in stablecoin transactions

A significant portion of DeFi transaction volume comes from stablecoin pairs. Executing these transactions at direct parity helps investors avoid unnecessary price impacts and reduces the risk of MEVs (maximum extractable value) being exploited. For developers, this shift is critical to standardizing stablecoin liquidity across Ethereum and mainstream Layer-2 networks.

Sky\'s Peg Stability Module is said to provide hundreds of millions of dollars in liquidity depth, helping to limit transaction costs on Uniswap. This structure is particularly beneficial to aggregation platforms and institutional traders seeking more efficient trading paths.

The company stated that Sky\'s Peg stability module is capable of converting between DAI, USDS and USDC with sufficient depth to ensure that transactions are completed with minimum price deviations.

Broader impact on Sky and DeFi ecosystems

For Sky, this integration means that DAI and USDS are no longer limited to lending activities, but play an active role in the flow of decentralized exchanges. This reveals a trend: some agreements tend to retain stablecoin liquidity internally rather than outsourcing it to external providers.

Looking to the future, the industry will pay attention to whether other decentralized exchanges will adopt similar models. In addition, topics under discussion include expanding asset support, achieving cross-link mobility, and how regulators will view such stability modules in the future.
