Key Insights
ADA prices came into focus, and Cardano cryptocurrency achieved 6 times the main-network throughput during its first public Leios test-net phase.
Leios processed 18 times the transaction volume and 3.3 times the data volume of real main-network traffic.
Cardano's price outlook remains related to ADA price support and the success of further Leios testing.
Cardano cryptocurrency achieved significant throughput improvements in its first public Leios test, reaching approximately 6 times the current mainnetwork capacity. This result could enhance network activity as it grows, while ADA prices remain influenced by market and technical conditions.
Cardano cryptocurrency achieves 6 times main-network throughput
The Cardano cryptocurrency network performed strongly in the first public test of Ouroboros Leios, with the test network reaching approximately 6 times the current main-network transaction processing capacity.
This result was not a short-lived outbreak. The test lasted 41 days, and during the final stabilization phase, Leios handled 54% of all traffic arriving on the chain. It handles 18 times the transaction volume of real main-network traffic and carries 3.3 times the amount of data.
Testing also gives developers the opportunity to discover and fix problems in the system. According to project updates, all issues identified at this stage are from code rather than underlying protocol flaws. Developers fixed these issues through weekly public versions.
Cardano Leios Testnet Update
A red team is also trying to test the network by looking for weaknesses. As of now, these attacks have not threatened the security of the Praos layer. Performance changes with the amount of equity involved without causing chain failure.
This test is important because Cardano faces the same block space constraints as other blockchain networks. Each block can only hold a fixed amount of data, and demand can rise sharply during major launches, airdrops, and market fluctuations.
How can Leios help Cardano cryptocurrency meet demand?
Leios aims to increase capacity without replacing Cardano's existing security model. It operates as an overlay on Ouroboros Praos, which remains the main protocol for protecting the network.
Between Praos blocks, Leios creates endorser blocks that can host more transactions and verify them in parallel. Once enough votes are cast, subsequent Praos blocks will carry a certificate, allowing larger batches to be accepted.
This approach may become even more important as activities move further into the decentralized financial arena. In DeFi, delays can affect trading, clearing and other operations because prices and available opportunities change quickly.
Cardano cryptocurrency currently does not use a separate toll channel to allow users to pay to jump in line. Differential pricing is still under study. Therefore, increasing transaction processing speed may become an important part of responding to higher demand.
Leios was originally proposed as research at Crypto 2025 and later became CIP 164. A version of Linear Leios was subsequently developed and can be built with limited modifications to existing protocols. The update was merged on January 6, 2026, and a working prototype was launched less than six months later.
MusashiNet was launched as a public beta online on June 23. The test stage is named after the five parts of Miyamoto Musashi's "Five Wheels Book".
Leios test's ongoing ADA price outlook
Technical progress may support Cardano's long-term price outlook, but Leios tests alone cannot determine ADA price trends. Market demand, liquidity and the broader cryptocurrency situation will continue to play a major role.
Recent ADA price analysis shows that the token is in a rising channel after the correction. Another market view points to a possible further correction to the US$0.171 to US$0.157 region, which is identified as an order block and underlying support area.
ADA Price Analysis
If ADA prices hit this area and buyers react strongly, the analysis indicates that the current channel may be breached, with a potential increase of more than 70%. However, this is still a market expectation rather than a confirmation of the trend.
At the same time, any price targets or market levels mentioned in the article are based on technical analysis and represent potential scenarios rather than definitive results. This article does not constitute financial advice and readers should carefully assess the risks associated with cryptocurrency trading before investing.
For Cardano cryptocurrency prices to benefit from Leios, network upgrades need to go beyond the testing phase to prove that higher capacity can operate reliably under real demand. The next phase of "Water" has been launched and includes an incentive plan for equity pool operators.
