XRP Ledger is about to usher in a major upgrade, and fix fixCleanup3_3_0 is ready to go.
XRP Ledger (XRPL) is on the eve of implementing a major update that will have a profound impact on transaction processing on its main network. According to XRPscan data, the adjustment, called fixCleanup3_3_0, is expected to take effect before September 11, provided that the proposal continues to receive the support of the majority of verifiers needed.
Voting Mechanism Resolution
Key technical modifications in XRP Ledger are authorized through a democratic amendment system. Updates that affect transaction logic require a vote by the validator. If an amendment receives more than 80% support for 14 consecutive days, it will be permanently adopted and integrated into future ledger versions.
The open-source blockchain network XRPL developed by Ripple is known for its payment-focused infrastructure. Through its voting mechanism, technology updates are designed to be implemented in a decentralized manner. As long as the necessary support levels are maintained, the fixCleanup3_3_0 changes are scheduled to be activated on the XRPL main network by September 11.
What does fixCleanup3_3_0 cover?
This fix package debuted in August with the release of version 3.3.0 and contains a comprehensive of 11 fixes for multiple components. These components include Single Asset Vaults, loan agreements, automated market makers (AMM), restricted DEX structures, Checks, and anonymous accounts.
One of the amendments addressed the issue of mixed orders caused by loss of access to restricted areas, ensuring that they were removed from the open order book. In addition, the update also tends to include automated market makers 'liquidity in the quality calculations of restricted DEX order books.
Additional corrections to precision and rounding issues in single asset vaults and lending agreements are also important parts of this update. Some details are still in the voting process.
Following recent enhancements
The introduction of fixCleanup3_3_0 follows the activation on the main network of previous updates, namely fixCleanup3_1_3 and fixCleanup3_2_0, which were implemented in May and July, respectively. These previous updates also address enhancements to NFT infrastructure, restricted areas, vaults, lending agreements, multifunction tokens, and restricted DEX components.
Currently, the support rate for fixCleanup3_3_0 is as high as 82.86%, and 29 of the 35 validators voted in favor. If this level of support is maintained, the update will become a permanent feature of the XRPL main network within a few days.
- This update implements 11 improvements in various components of XRPL.
- The voting system requires a 14-day window and an approval rate of 80% to implement changes.
- As of now, 82.86% of validator support ensures upcoming activations.
XRP Ledger's ability to obtain strong validator endorsements demonstrates its commitment to maintaining a robust, decentralized blockchain architecture. As fixCleanup3_3_0 moves towards final implementation, this highlights the continued progress and collaborative spirit necessary to drive network evolution.
