XRP Ledger sets a record: 3,254 transactions processed in a single block

As Ripple continues to take innovative measures and evolve, its core blockchain, XRP Ledger (XRPL), has recently set a new record. It is reported that XRP Ledger recently successfully processed 3,254 transactions in one block.

This record was announced by Vet in a release on the X platform. Vet, a community leader and verification node operator at the XRPL Foundation, pointed out that a total of 3,254 transactions were recorded on the ledger, setting a new level in history.

Network capacity is closely related to the nature of transactions.

Vet analysis believes that a large part of such high transaction volume is composed of extremely simple and small XRP transfers. Therefore, a single ledger contains 3,254 transactions, which does not directly prove that XRPL can stably process thousands of complex transactions per second.

This is because not all XRPL transactions consume the same amount of network resources. There is a significant difference in transaction load between simple XRP transfers and decentralized exchange (DEX) transactions or NFT transactions.

This could be a breakthrough capacity test.

Vet said that when transaction volume increases and block processing speed remains high, the network will automatically increase the number of transactions processed concurrently; but if the transaction time exceeds five seconds, the number will be reduced accordingly.

He also pointed out that it is unclear why these processes are concentrated, but he speculated that this was likely a stress test of processing power and efficiency.
