Kraken parent company Payward announced the launch of on-chain perpetual contract trading on Hyperliquid for U.S. customers
The transaction will be conducted through Bitnomial Exchange, which is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Making it Hyperliquid's first regulated U.S. platform.
U.S. traders need to open futures accounts with both NinjaTrader Clearing and Bitnomial to qualify.
HYPE token prices rose more than 4% after the announcement, while Binance futures open interest volume climbed 7%.
Implementation depends on obtaining regulatory clearance, and a specific release timetable has not yet been determined.
Payward, the holding company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, revealed on Wednesday that it plans to provide U.S. customers with access to on-chain perpetual contract transactions on the Hyperliquid blockchain. The market responded quickly, with the valuation of HYPE tokens rising by more than 4% within hours of disclosure.
