XLM prices gain market focus after the activation of Stellar Protocol 28
On September 19, as the Stellar network activated Protocol 28 and achieved 211 transactions per second (TPS) in 100 blocks, XLM prices rose 3.79% to US$0.1985. According to Stellar, the total real-world assets tokenized on its network are approximately US$3.3 billion, the balance of stablecoins is nearly US$884 million, and the value of decentralized finance (DeFi) is approximately US$294 million.
In the current short-term XLM trading structure, the US$0.197 level and the middle track of the Bollinger Band near US$0.19277 constitute the immediate support area. XLM is currently trading above the median rail, while the upper band of the Bollinger Band of $0.21832 and the range of $0.21 to $0.22 mark higher areas of technical resistance.
After Stellar activated Protocol 28 two days ago, XLM prices moved closer to US$0.20 on September 19. The token was traded at $0.1985, with a 3.79% increase in 24 hours. Trading volume was approximately US$568.96 million, and the market value was close to US$6.99 billion. This trend followed a rebound from low levels in early September, making US$0.20 the focus of the market. Protocol 28 introduced consensus toolkits and contract migration capabilities, and recorded throughput of 211 transactions per second during testing.
