According to Binance daily chart data, ETH opened at US$2,688.65, rising to a high of US$2,703.51 and falling to a low of US$2,635.69. At the time of the TradingView chart screenshot, ETH was trading at approximately US$2,661. That move makes $2,700 the latest target for buyers to regain lost ground, and Monday's low marks the first test for below $2,650.
Technical analysis: Daily line remains bullish
Despite Monday's decline, Ethereum remains above the four moving averages shown on the daily chart. The 20-day simple moving average (SMA) is at around $2,586.78, the 50-day moving average is at $2,403.66, and the 100-day and 200-day moving averages are at $2,103.59 and $2,104.79 respectively.
Judging from the daily chart, the nearest moving average is about US$74 away from the price of ETH at the time. Before hitting that moving average, sellers must break through Monday's low of $2,635. If prices can return to above the day's high of $2,703, the price region will look back to around $2,800 in the near future.
The Awesome Oscillator indicator on the Ethereum daily chart reads positive 145.10, although the latest bar chart is red. The indicator is still above the zero axis, but the bar chart shows that upward momentum is weaker than before. ETH is currently in a correction phase after rising from around $2,400 in mid-September to a high near $2,800.
4-hour chart: Short-term stress appears

Summary and Outlook
For the current price setting, key points are relatively close. ETH needs to restore $2,688 near the median of the 4-hour Bollinger Band and stand firm above $2,700 before testing the upper rail near $2,725 and the clearing cluster near $2,740 - 2,750. If it breaks below Monday's low of $2,635, the lower $2,620 cluster will become the focus, followed by $2,587 near the daily 20-day moving average.
U.S. investors are also closely watching the oil market as U.S. -Iran talks encounter another setback. ETH's reaction around $2,650 and $2,700 will show whether Monday's decline will continue or whether prices will return to within range below their September highs.
