Reorganization (Reorg) refers to the state in which a network discards a distributed set of blockchains and replaces it with another set. As a result, it appears that confirmed transactions will fall back into a pending state. While this may be unpleasant to the holder, it is neither theft nor a malfunction of your wallet.

The last step is not yet complete. Provider dRPC has not yet migrated it to a new environment, so the wallet connection is not yet fully stable. There is currently no public deadline for this, and the Shibarium document does not mention a specific date.

Chain ID 109, BONE and Shibariumscan: Popular interpretation of network details

If you are adding or correcting network information in your wallet, you need four key details. The Chain ID is 109, and the network ID is also 109. The native currency for paying fees on Shibarium is BONE, not SHIB. The chunk browser is Shibariumscan located at shibariumscan.io The RPC endpoint is the address from the official document.

One thing holds true in all circumstances: mnemonic words should be written on paper or metal, never photographed, or stored in cloud storage.

Conversely, if you choose to stay on the exchange, you do not need to track the switch yourself. The exchange runs its own node and has likely made the changes. For example, MEXC confirmed based on reports that its own nodes had completed migration. The cost of this convenience is well known: You hold claims on the company, not a key.

Holding periods and bridges: Why packaging restarts the one-year timer

German investors often ignore tax deadlines when using bridges. For privately held crypto assets, the one-year holding period in Article 23 of the Income Tax Law still applies: after holding for more than twelve months, the proceeds from disposal are exempt. The draft Income Tax Reform Bill of 2027 released by the Federal Cabinet on September 2, 2026 excludes crypto assets, so the period is currently in effect. The trap is exchange. The letter from the German Ministry of Finance dated March 6, 2025 (No. IVC1-S2256/00042/064/043) records in the 55th margin that the period under Article 23(1), paragraph 1, item 2, of the Income Tax Law will restart after each exchange. Anyone who exchanges a coin for a packaged version is interpreted as exchanging an asset. Whether the specific bridging operation falls within this category depends on the specific technical arrangement and should be judged by the tax consultant rather than based on rules of thumb.

What you can do yourself is ensure the evidence: Export and save the timestamp, transaction ID, and value of each bridge operation. If you want to refactor the data in March of the following year, you may need to search for the data in another browser that may be reindexed again.

How to identify fake Shibarium endpoints

Every network switch is an invitation from a scammer. The pattern is always the same: the "official new RPC address" appears in forums, under posts, and in private messages, but actually points to the attacker's server. Manipulated endpoints can show you false balances and induce you to sign a signature that releases assets.

Three characteristics help identify authenticity. First, only obtain network details from official documents, never from replies from Social networks. Second, the chain ID must be 109; if it is different, it is not Shibarium. Third, no reputable network operator will ask for your mnemonic under any pretext and in any support channel.
