花旗集团与Coinbase推出稳定币自动兑换服务

花旗集团（Citigroup）与Coinbase近日宣布，将推出一项面向美国机构客户的服务。该服务能够自动实现稳定币与美元之间的双向兑换。

服务运作机制

该项服务于9月29日正式公布。通过此项服务，花旗企业的客户可以接受以USDC等稳定币形式的支付，而无需实际持有加密货币。在后台，Coinbase会将收到的稳定币自动兑换为美元，随后花旗银行像处理其他常规付款一样，将资金存入客户账户。

该流程同样支持反向操作：依托Coinbase平台的企业可以开设类似银行账户的账户，这些账户由花旗银行的软件系统提供支持。当美元流入时，系统会自动将其转换为稳定币。

花旗集团与Coinbase表示，这项服务的旨在将稳定币支付融入传统银行业务体系，而非作为独立的加密业务流程运行。Coinbase指出，全球范围内持有稳定币的用户已超过1.5亿（该公司数据），此次合作使企业能够在不涉足加密领域的情况下，接收来自这些用户的资金。

目前，两家公司尚未披露除USDC之外还支持哪些稳定币、服务的具体上线时间以及使用客户名单。此外，该服务目前仅在美国地区推出。
