Hyperliquid integrates with Bloomberg terminals: Building a 24-hour traditional financial price layer
This integration allows professional users to directly access Hyperliquid's market data in the same workflow used to track traditional stocks, commodities and derivatives. Currently available contracts include 24/7 perpetual contracts linked to assets such as oil, gold, the S & P 500 and major chip makers.
This distinction is critical: the visibility provided by Bloomberg terminals only represents access to market data and does not involve trading, custody, clearing or regulatory approval of Hyperliquid itself.
The move builds on Hyperliquid's expansion beyond the native crypto market and into a broader cross-asset segment.
Advantages of the all-weather trading mechanism
What is more eye-catching is its role during traditional market closures. Hyperliquid's commodity and equity-linked perpetual contracts can continue to trade when the underlying spot market closes. This provides traders with a continuous price signal, allowing them to cope with fluctuations caused by weekends, overnight sessions or major geopolitical events.
This concept was particularly prominent during the Middle East conflict. At the time, when traditional trading platforms were closed, oil, gold and silver contracts on Hyperliquid were still being traded. This makes the platform more than just a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, but increasingly a round-the-clock parallel market for assets that have traditionally been limited by exchange opening hours.
Coinpaper has previously reported on commodity access through Ripple Prime, which opens the door for institutional investors to access perpetual gold, silver and oil contracts linked to Hyperliquid.
Parallel advancement of U.S. market access
As Hyperliquid's regulatory path in the United States becomes increasingly important, this integration with Bloomberg terminals comes at the right time. In August, President Donald Trump said Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig was committed to bringing Hyperliquid to the United States in a "fully compliant and legal manner."
This statement comes on the heels of increased pressure to shift offshore perpetual contract activity to regulated U.S. markets. Coinpaper has reported on the subsequent U.S. regulatory push, and after Trump made relevant remarks, the price of HYPE tokens rose sharply.
