World Liberty Financial plans to launch USD1 stablecin payment service at Token2049 conference

On Wednesday, Singapore time, during a panel discussion at Token2049 conference, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) executives announced plans to introduce USD1 stablecin payments to major online companies. WLFI CEO Zach Witkoff, co-founder Zak Folkman and Mesh co-founder and CEO Bam Azizi participated in this stablecoin-themed panel discussion.

Azizi announced a partnership with WLFI that will allow USD1 holders to use the stablecoin for consumption in their merchant networks. The promotion plan is scheduled to start within this quarter.

Folkman said: "In addition to the use scenarios for the World Liberty app itself, we have plans to deploy this exact same technology to some of the largest Web2 companies on the market."

WLFI is a cryptocurrency venture capital project supported by the family of former US President Donald Trump. The USD1 stablecoins it issues are designed to maintain a fixed value of USD1 and are issued by BitGo. The reserves include cash, U.S. government money market funds and other cash equivalents. According to CoinGecko data, as of the time of writing, the market value of the stablecoin was US$4.45 billion.

WLFI seeks to take over issuance rights of USD1
