SOL The unexpected explosion of Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain was originally positioned as a real-world asset (RWA) network and tokenized stock trading platform. However, on July 8, it went the other way completely. According to Dune, the chain\'s transaction volume on Uniswap reached US$563.9 million, the largest single-day transaction volume since it was launched on the main network on July 1. memin CASHCAT, which is the main reason for the surge in transaction volume. The token\'s story revolves around the \"Cashcat\" mascot once used by Robinhood. The token rose more than 10 times in 24 hours, and its market value exceeded US$100 million. This single token lifted the liquidity of the Uniswap V3 WETH pair on the chain from a low of tens of millions of dollars to $212.3 million in one day.
All of this happened on the day Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev embraced the culture of memes, saying in a tweet that the RWA-focused chain was \"equally suitable for memin.\" On the same day, Pump.fun added support for Robinhood Chain, allowing traders to buy using SOL, eliminating the cross-chain friction that typically prevents retail investors from flooding into the new network.

In comparison, the market value of online RWA is only US$12.62 million (according to DeFiLlama data). At its peak, CASHCAT\'s market value was approximately eight times the size of the tokenized asset market on the chain.
Nearly 16,000 new tokens were created in one day
This activity is not limited to a single token. There are nearly 200,000 daily active addresses, of which more than 140,000 addresses have made first transactions on the chain. Nearly 16,000 new tokens were created in 24 hours. The market value of seven memecoins exceeded US$1 million.
This is the chain reaction caused by memin on the young Internet. A token takes off, tools follow to support it, wallets and launch platforms connect, and suddenly, a chain that used to be measured in tens of millions has cleared more than $500 million. Users come for memes, and infrastructure follows closely behind. Robinhood laid the track for equity transactions, only to watch a cat token fill them.
The question is what happens when CASHCAT cools down.
Records like this are easy to celebrate, but difficult to maintain. This volume has redefined Robinhood Chain\'s image on paper: a network built for equity trading now has numbers that push it to the forefront of Uniswap. Whether it lasts is another question.
What remains unresolved is the issue of transformation. A memin can flood a chain with first-time users and new tokens overnight, but these addresses don\'t automatically become RWA traders. If the popularity of CASHCAT subsides, the 140,000 new wallets and 16,000 tokens could also dissipate, leaving only the $12.62 million RWA market at the beginning of the week. If even a small number of users stayed, Robinhood found a cheaper channel to get customers than any tokenized stock promotion.
The number is currently here. What it means depends entirely on July 9th and beyond.
