Today\'s BNB News: Ecological project CodexField is marked as a road project

BNB News: Will the risk of running away from ecological projects also affect the BNB chain?

On July 10, 2026, after chain analyst Specter issued a warning to CodexField, BNB chain projects once again attracted attention. The BNB Chain project has raised more than US$85 million from users. Now Specter pointed out that the flow of funds was suspicious and called on BNB Chain and CZ to intervene in the investigation.

BNB Crypto News: What did Specter find behind the CodexField money flow?

Specter traced approximately 17.3 million USDTs that were transferred from TRON to Ethereum through a bridge wallet associated with CodexField. Subsequently, these USDTs were exchanged for DAI on Polygon via Bitget Swap. Of this, approximately US$6.5 million has been further transferred, and the remaining US$10.8 million is still pending.

He traced the source of the funds directly to CodexField\'s deposit contracts. From there, funds travel through multiple chains, stay in multiple intermediate wallets, and eventually flow into centralized exchanges. This hierarchical routing often points to team divestment rather than normal operational behavior.

Specter made public his findings and called on BNB Chain management and CZ to pay attention to funding trends. Before CodexField gave a clear explanation, he reminded users to be cautious about any deposit behavior.

CodexField: Have decentralized code platforms faced charges before?

CodexField bills itself as a decentralized alternative to GitHub, built based on Greenfield and BSC of the BNB chain. Developers can version their code, prove ownership, and convert code, AI models, datasets and more into tradable assets on the chain.

The platform remains Git compatible and provides low-cost storage through Greenfield. Users make deposits through multiple different domain names and wallets associated with the project contract. Some of these wallets were once labeled as \"fake CodexFields\" by security tools, but are still actually controlled by the same team.

Will this BNB Chain project running risk hurt the CODEX token price?

With the release of the latest BNB news, the CODEX token price has suffered a shock today, plunging 34.21% to US$10. So far, CODEX has rebounded to $13, but it is still down 14% in 24 hours. Trading volumes remain sluggish. Price response is temporarily limited, but the situation could change quickly if more evidence is obtained for the allegations.

On the other hand, the price of the $BNB token is not directly affected by the risk of running away. The current trading price is US$576, a slight increase of 1.29%. In the past few years, the Binance blockchain has lost more than US$1.6 billion due to running and hacking attacks. If another similar event is confirmed, CODEX could fall by 20% to 50% or more, similar to previous crashes in the chain.

USDT bridge amount: approximately US$17.3 million
Funds transferred: approximately US$6.5 million
Pending funds: approximately US$10.8 million
Total amount raised by CodexField: more than US$85 million

The next step for the trust between CodexField users and BNB Chain

CodexField has not released any on-chain instructions or public responses. Users holding funds on the platform should pay attention to wallet activity, audit reports, and any statements from the team before making new deposits.

BNB Chain may launch its own investigation or suspend official support for the project. Analysts expect on-chain forensics to continue, with pressure from affected users and even regulators.

This case adds another lesson to the lengthy DeFi warning list. No matter how strong a project\'s reputation is in the early stages, checking contract history, liquidity lockouts, and team wallets before transferring funds is always the safest habit users can develop.
