无许可部署正式上线
Midnight 在主网推进过程中迈出了重要一步：智能合约的无许可部署功能现已全面上线。开发者现在可以直接将合约部署至 Midnight 主网，无需再像此前那样强制经过 Preprod 环境的安全审查环节。此外，应用程序也可以代表用户部署合约，进一步简化了用户的接入流程。
作为 Cardano 生态中专注于隐私保护的旁侧链（Partner Chain），Midnight 旨在实现机密数据处理的同时，保持与公共区块链基础设施的兼容性。此次变更距离 Midnight 于 2026 年 3 月启动主网发布大约六个月。初期版本采用了更为受控的部署模式，以确保网络的稳定性和安全性。
Midnight 的未来路线图
Sebastien Guillemot, chief technology officer of the Midnight Foundation, outlined the development path for private smart contracts on the main Internet. According to reports, Guillemot said that the release of Node 1.0.3 on September 26 was the last major technical update before smart contract deployment. Looking to the future, the planned v8 upgrade will support private contracts and private custom tokens, while the v9 version will introduce Composability functionality and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Detailed explanation of the airdrop unlocking mechanism
Through the Glacier Drop and Scavenger Mine airdrops, more than 4.5 billion NIGHT tokens have been distributed to more than 8 million wallet addresses. The redemption period begins on December 10, 2025 and will last until December 4, 2026.
During the redemption period, tokens will be gradually released through a process called "Thawing" at Midnight. The process is divided into four stages, each stage unlocking 25% of the holder's total NIGHT tokens. The first unfreezing date for each address will be randomly assigned within the first 90 days after the redemption period begins. At present, more than 4.5 billion NIGHT tokens obtained through airdrops are still unlocked in stages, and the final batch is expected to be fully unlocked around December 2026.
