Summary
Trading volume on the Shibarium Decentralized Exchange (DEX) plunged 97.46% this week, leaving only US$1.81 in trading activity, reflecting a significant decline in participation among decentralized exchanges. Shibarium's total lock-in value (TVL) is approximately $102,324, indicating that liquidity deposited remains relatively stable despite a severe decline in trading activity. WoofSwap dominates Shibarium's DeFi liquidity, locking in approximately $86,018, while ShibaSwap, Shibex and DogSwap have much smaller amounts.
Shibarium's decentralized exchange trading volume fell 97.46% weekly, highlighting the extremely weak trading participation on Shiba Inu's secondary network. DefiLlama data shows that Shibarium's DEX trading volume is only US$1.81, reflecting the limited activity of decentralized exchange traders within the ecosystem.
The overall weak market for Shiba Inu coins has also dragged down the participation of related applications on the second-tier network. Investors have become more cautious as SHIB continues to face selling pressure. As a result, fewer and fewer traders are willing to transfer funds through Shibarium's decentralized exchanges. Reduced trading activity will also limit the transfer of liquidity between tokens and reduce overall market participation.
However, when trading volume itself is already at a low level, the percentage change can appear particularly large. As a result, Shibarium's 97.46% decline reflects both weakening participation and the already small size of its DEX market.
In addition, a rebound in demand for SHIB may drive greater use of apps built on Shibarium. Stronger market participation will then bring more liquidity and trading activity to its decentralized exchanges.
Shibarium TVL remains above US$102,000 despite DEX weakness
Shibarium's total lock-in value (TVL) has shown greater resilience than its decentralized exchange trading volume. DefiLlama showed the network's TVL at approximately $102,324, a slight increase of 0.13% over a 24-hour period. As a result, despite the decline in trading activity, capital deposited in the Shibarium agreement remains relatively stable.
WoodSwap controls the largest share of liquidity on the Shibarium Network's decentralized exchanges, with a TVL of approximately US$86,018, a 3.18% increase. At the same time, ShibaSwap's TVL is approximately US$6,893, Shibex is approximately US$4,264, and DogSwap is approximately US$3,855.
It is worth noting that WoofSwap accounts for most of the liquidity currently deposited on the Shibarium decentralized exchange, a concentration that allows competing platforms to gain only a relatively small share.
In addition, the comparison between TVL and transaction volume provides a clearer perspective on the current network situation. Users still deposit funds in agreements, but active token exchanges remain extremely limited.
Broader cryptocurrency market conditions may affect whether these deposits will ultimately translate into stronger trading activity. Improved SHIB requirements may also support greater engagement with Shibarium apps.
Currently, Shibarium's DeFi market shows two different trends: lock-in liquidity remains above US$102,000, and decentralized exchange trading has dropped to extremely low levels.
